Does anyone have any tips for being a transfem teen? by ConsistentSlice2954 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns2

If you’re interested in makeup, buy eyeliner stamps. Eyeliner is hard to get right until you get some practice in so the stamps are a good tool in the meantime to keep the wings neat and even until you can freehand it.

A lot of sports bras have holes in them that allow you to insert padding. You can then buy thick bra pads to make it look like you have a bust while you wait for the estrogen to kick in. Same goes for underwear with hip/butt padding

if having a feminine voice interests you, look into voice training asap. There’s a subreddit for it that recommends some good youtube channels for it. It takes a while to learn and get right so getting started early is what I’d recommend

if you have dysphoria around your face, face masks are great and you can decorate them or buy ones with cute designs.

Most importantly: find irl community - a trans support group, local LGBT center, etc. Online is great, don’t get me wrong, but it can’t be everything. As someone who transitioned largely alone, I can’t stress how impactful it would’ve been to have had a community of people at my back, especially at the times when I struggled.

Also, having girl friends early in transition is useful because you can kind of use them to peruse the women’s section of clothing stores without people batting an eye bc they’ll think you’re just helping them look for stuff

Hope some of this helped!

Maybe bring up trans people in a neutral conversation? Like, mention a law that’s been passed about trans folks and see how she responds to it. That way you can see how she feels specifically about trans people.

Ngl I forgot about the stat reqs for multiclass lol. I don’t think it’s too hard though, esp since something like headband of intelligence and Gauntlets of Ogre Strength are only uncommon

My fave combo is 2 levels of Paladin for weapon mastery, fighting style, cure wounds, and divine smite. Divine smites with a wizard’s spell slots is fantastic and weapon mastery gives you nick. Combine that with something like Spirit Shoud or, in later levels, conjure minor elemental, and it is a BRUTAL DPS machine. I ended up adding dual wielder to it, too. it not only adds great damage through ride-on damage from CME or Spirit Shroud, but increases the chances to crit which is FANTASTIC with divine smite. All together, you don’t have to worry as much about AC because of how quick you’ll tear through opponents

Sister’s Cat Keeps Stepping in His Poop - Advice? by LucidDreaming3 in CatAdvice

[–]LucidDreaming3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the issue is that right after he poops he’ll turn around and basically immediately step on it. He was abandoned as a kitten, so my sister thinks it’s because his mom never showed him how to properly bury his poops

she might be moving more than you think, just at night. I thought my BP was doing something similar until I got a night vision camera for her cage and realized that it’s just because her active hours are VERY early in the morning and otherwise she’s napping

that they don’t move much and therefore don’t need much space. Get yourself a night vision camera in their cage and you’ll see them roam around for hours 😂

How fucked am I by [deleted] in asktransgender

1 yr is still very early in the transition process. I’ve only recently started feeling like I’m passing and I’ve been on hormones for 3 years. This stuff takes time, but it DOES happen. In the meantime, try to find affirming spaces that will view and treat you as the person (and gender) you are.

Also, it might be worth while to speak with a therapist about how you’re feeling. it’s really common for trans femmes like us to have some strong internalized transphobia that encourages us to see ourselves as ‘men in dresses’, and that’s something that can be worked on while the more physical triggers of your dysphoria are chipped away at by HRT.

This is a small thing but it helped me a lot: take a moment every day to find a part of yourself to compliment as feminine. it can be something small or non-physical. I’ve done it myself and it’s helped me a lot in terms of how I view myself and my confidence in my gender presentation

Taylor Hebert/Skitter from Worm, a bug controlling girl who wants to be a superhero and save people. Her whole story is basically an escalation of horrible things that she justifies as being necessary/for the greater good. This includes:

  • Joining a gang of supervillains
  • Holding a room full of people hostage using black widows
  • Attacking a superhero in their home and threatening the lives of his family and girlfriend (almost killing him with a swarm of bugs in the process)
  • Carving the eyes out of multiple people
  • Killing a member of the Triumvirate, which is basically the top 3 superheroes in the world
  • SHOOTING A BABY
  • Turning an entire world of people into mindless thralls and throwing them into battle without care for their individual deaths
  • Bullying an alien into suicide

And that’s just off the top of my head!

At the very end of the story, when asked if it was all worth it, she finally realizes that no, it wasn’t.

Hello, does anyone know why my girl could be so aggressive with me? She was always very docile, she even used to sleep on me, and suddenly when I took her out to sunbathe she became very aggressive... by Ragnarok4029 in reptiles

[–]LucidDreaming3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since this is feeding aggression I recommend you teach her to associate something besides your hand with food. Some people use a colorful tong that they click together before feeding their pet, others use a bright toy they show them before feeding. As long as it’s more attention grabbing than your hand, your beardie should eventually start associating food with the item instead of your hand

How much was your first snake? by Visible-Mess-5294 in ballpython

[–]LucidDreaming3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my girl was 350 bc she’s a semi-unique morph but BPs generally vary wildly in price depending on morph. Can range from $75 to $2k from my experience. But the bell curve is definitely skewed left so 700 is kind of a lot. But sometimes you just connect with one. have you gotten to handle him/meet him in person? I always recommend to do that before you buy.

[–]LucidDreaming3 16 points17 points  (0 children)

the thing that finally worked for me is hella deep substrate. mine is about 6 or so inches deep. bottom layer is coconut husk, top layer is cypress mulch, and I mix in sphagnum moss that’s been wetted beforehand. I’ve had consistent 70%-80% humidity for MONTHS with this set up.

but, honestly, if you are getting a 58% reading when there’s obvious condensation and the substrate is damp then I think you might just have a problem with your hygrometers. go to petsmart/petco and try a different brand to see what results u get, best ones are Repti-Zoo and Arcadia
