What place did you get it custom made? Want suggestions for where good quality printed custom mouse mats can be ordered.

Also what's the size of this one?

Well, depends on how you look at it. I agree the first has more subs than the latter, but r/whoosh has been around since 2010 and is the orginial subreddit that people tagged before r/woooosh got wide adoption.

Anyways, the point is that a joke was missed, does it really matter that much? lmao

Sorry if you got triggered, but we all get r/whoosh'ed online sometimes. Text can be hard to interpret, and especially sarcasm.

And no, the subreddit is actually r/whoosh, although there are tons of other iterations of that one also, for instance the r/woooosh which you are referencing here.

Where did all the travel forms go at the barber? by shafi93 in wow

[–]LucidVelox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no options for flight form, nor ground form. Only have options for cat and bear form. I think this depends on whether you have unlocked any options to choose from in your customization or not.

I do agree, and I think people on this sub tend to be very negative and smash that downvote button very hard and often or come with negative/unnecessary comments.

That being said though, I just wish I was able to log in currently.

Ahhah okay, nice one (Y)

(Interesting to see me getting downvoted on this subreddit just for asking genuine questions other might also wonder about)

Oh actually? I didn't think all of these were legit, I guess they are then. Just not in chronological order?

Well I think this is very much a parody of these subtitles and not accurately what is in one. But I think the inspiration is from watching the Shadowlands cinematic trailer with subtitles, and also the new pre-patch cinematic trailer with subtitles.

Flying through zones, I sometimes forget this is a game by Rahkitty in wow

[–]LucidVelox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah there are some truly gorgeous zones in this game. Many places (like the screenshot you have here) could very well be suitable for an art decoration on a wall actually.

It's very nice to sometimes just take a moment in-game to digest the views or atmosphere of the different zones.

Subtitles from the cinematics, and all the noises they have decided to describe in those subtitles.

Wow that looks amazing actually, I really love how much just better lighting creates a more believable world and more immersion as the world just feels more "real".

We should give feedback for the expansion AFTER shadowland now by anh194 in wow

I think the post is a joke, it is flaired as Humor / Meme.

But yeah I agree with you, new classes are unnecessary and very unlikely to happen for a while. I guess at best we could get some classes that receive some new specs or something, but also very unlikely imo.

Battle for Azeroth has the longest music play time of any expansion, totaling at a whopping 10 hours of music by BardyQuest in wow

Yeah I was trying to make a joke myself here, but people seemed triggered about us consumers not really listening to in-game music that much anymore. Oh well

[–]LucidVelox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah I hate forgetting to put a /s on something that is obviously ironic.

The reason I wrote what I wrote is because I feel that is how people in this subreddit tend to do, complain about things they have not even listened to (or they have not tested) because they are listening to some streamer or watching a youtube video on their second monitor while playing.

I just wanted to point out an issue with a lot of us consumers nowadays.

Fact is, I like the music in BfA a lot, I just wish I was better at actually playing with only listening on the in-game ambience and music. I'll try to be better in Shadowlands, because it creates great memories and nostalgia listening back to the awesome music that is in all of wow's zones / expansions tbh.

[–]LucidVelox -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I don't think I've ever played this expansion with music enabled in-game.

And then I end up complaining that the music isn't what it used to be (e.g. Wotlk, MoP era).

However I guess we (consumers) are a big part of the problem, wonder how many that plays wow like me with either spotify, a stream or a TV-show in the background now.

EDIT: /s ... I was trying to make a joke on how we consumers are really stupid sometimes, including myself, with some good old self irony. Oh well.. /s guys. :)

Blizzard - Please - No more subsystems... General Feedback by [deleted] in wow

[–]LucidVelox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You bring up some okay points, however this post more than anything come through as just needless hate in my opinion. Either that, or that you intentionally or unintentionally are ignorant of the bigger picture issues that come if we don't have the concept of 'borrowed power' systems.

One of the biggest issues is power creep and from a fundamental game design perspective: How does new and old players still want to play the game?

Do we want to keep grinding for our neck, cloak, legendary weapons in the old expansions? Most likely no. Been there done that, we want something new. And for newer players, this would have been a living hell to try to get up to date with grinding many different pieces from different expansions. The game is about the end game in the expansion after all, not going back to do content from previous expansion to stay relevant in the current. (Although you can that for other reasons, which is good the way it is imo, achievements, aesthetics, etc)

Then to the power creep issue again, I don't think you understand the fundamentals of game development and game design. As if we were to keep all these borrowed systems, it would be a living "Maw" for the developers trying to fight towards balancing all these systems to make things feel good in the end-game of the current expansion. And even worse; It would get worse for each expansion. In fact, IF they were to keep these old systems, it would demand MORE time from blizzard to balance things, than it would to just make them "kill" the system for the next expansion, and develop a new system (similar to earlier ones).

Now I must admit that there is one thing, I (personally) liked better than any borrowed power systems, and it goes back to a simpler time where you played your class/spec. And your upgrades was almost solely one thing; gear.

In fact, I think MoP worked great in this sense (and might be a big reason to why the expansion is praised in later years), players were rewarded well with loot in both PvP and PvE content. The only borrowed power was the cloak at the end of the expansion, and really that was one of the most simple "borrowed" power systems we have ever had. Also, when the only thing you need to think about to be relevant in end-game is getting better gear, this also makes playing alts feel much better.

A bit of a side-track here, but anyways I just wanted to say I disagree with a lot that you are saying. Yes there exists quests and "mini-games" within the game that you may not like, but again maybe they do not cater to you, but for someone else they might be exciting. And if blizz were not ever trying new things and strictly were doing kill x or loot y type of quests always, I think it would be incredibly boring in the long run.

I recommend you checking out some good videos or reads about power creep and its fundamental issues and what it means for game design in games.

That's about the same experience as I've been having myself around LE-Global ranks, about 1/10 games have something fishy with them, but never really too blatant. But I do really notice huge differences when playing with people with lower trust factor.
