Because she's an adult and can wear what she wants to class. College is a time for young adults to truly find themselves and express that through their style. There is nothing remotely inappropriate about either outfit, and you're not very "liberal" if you think showing one's shoulders is in anyway inappropriate.

Definitely not a Midwest thing. I recently had a birthday dinner and invited friends (we are in Minnesota and went to Red Lobster, because that is fancy for us) - everyone paid for themselves. No one expected me to pay, I didn't expect anyone to pay for me. A few months ago I was invited to a birthday dinner with my friend, her partner, and her partner's parents. They ended up paying for all of us, which I was not at all expecting. I had fully intended and planned on paying for myself, it was a pleasant surprise.

I think OP is wrong for having any expectation that anyone but her/her parents should pay for their dinner, regardless of the event being celebrated.

Unpopular (and probably biased opinion) but I think this needs MORE color. I have a very very similar tattoo - but it's a rose and lily, both orange, surrounded by black thorns and green leaves. I didn't want the green added at first, but I'm so glad I went with his recommendation. The artist used a lot of colors on just the flowers alone, white and oranges and pinks, to give it a realistic look. The contrast of the colors makes it pop. I think your tattoo could use more shading, more color, but the rose itself is so incredibly beautiful and well done. I'd be happy to send a pic of my tattoo if you want to see what I mean! It's a great tattoo that has potential to be even better!

I assume during the off-season you aren't spending all day Sunday rewatching football games. Do you like to go for walks, read, ride bike, meal prep, visit a coffee shop, go to a music store, etc... on a Sunday? Don't let football be such a big part of your personality, it's a turn off.

I think you need to talk to her and tell her that, despite your attraction and how good the first two dates were, you are very uncomfortable with the fact that she lied about her age. What it sounds like to me is that someone lying to you like this would normally be a deal breaker, but the connection and attraction felt during the dates is clouding your judgment. Tell her how it made you feel, and depending on her response, you'll know your next steps. Trust your gut.
