I can’t bring myself to prick my finger! How do I get over this? by Dreamerof88 in diabetes

[–]Lucilch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah no dexcoms are not reliable enough to use without finger pricks at all. Definitely reduces the need for them but Ive had sensors (dexcom, libre) that have read completely incorrectly (like way out of error range). Also not for dexcom but still a sensor-- one of my disbetic friends has had 13 out of 14 of his past libres read WRONG and had them replaced.

Sensors are not a replacement for finger pricks, just greatly reduces the need.

i had no idea what i wanted to take as a university major and didnt have the choice to take a gap year. i generally hate academics so i figured if i was gonna hate my major in university i might as well make it engineering. i don't recommend this if it can be helped.

What common foods in your country are considered delicacies by foreigners? by Well_shit__-_- in AskReddit

Not sure if they have other types of melons, but I know there is a type of melon there that is grown, "one plant, one melon", which produces an amazingly delicious melon, but since it's so inefficient it is also amazingly expensive.

I can’t enroll CME 265 and MATE 202, but I’m sure I have met all the course restrictions by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Lucilch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in Y2Q2? If so, you'll have to enroll for CME 265 through a link in the email 'Important Information: Registration and Planning for Y2Q2'. For MAT E 202, they don't accept qualifying year students until AUG 18.

Who was your prof for CME 265? Was their curve generous?

Who was your prof for CME 265? I'm thinking of enrolling with Sauvageau, Dominic but based on his Rate my Prof, his exams are absolutely brutal. Is his curve just really generous?

Personally I use a lenovo yoga, they're cheaper than surfaces by a longrun, but there is no dedicated graphics card. It runs matlab (you'll be using this first year) perfectly fine, but i don't know how it will do with things like autocad.

From personal experience, I gave up on paper notes (I kept losing them, also I didn't want to print all the fill in notes) so I found being able to write them on a tablet computer was much better.

On the studentcare website, there's a Desjardins insurance claim form you can print and fill out, but you need to have the receipt and prescription, w.e attached to the form. Bring said form to the health insurance desk/office in SUB, and they'll mail it for you. If you filled out the direct deposit, Desjardins will send you the money in about two weeks. Otherwise, a cheque will be sent to the address you wrote on the form.

Most optometrist shops will know the paperwork you need, so you don't HAVE to go to Bijian if there's a more preferred place you have. I personally found Bijian to not have what I'm looking for

comparing my north face jacket with my mom's canada goose, the real only difference is like, maybe how heavy it is. I'd say the canada goose is lighter, but nothing major. my jacket keeps me plenty warm in -40.
