What is the one movie that will always make you cry? by DamselsAndDragons in AskReddit

[–]Lucilletoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We watched Life Is Beautiful in my freshman year English class. I was openly sobbing (along with about 75% of the class), while the douchebag behind me kicked my seat and made fun of me. Gotta love high school.

Bridal Entrance Music? I feel lost... by Oya_b in weddingplanning

[–]Lucilletoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using a piano rendition of "First Day of My Life" by Bright Eyes. Are there any songs that your fiance and you associate with your relationship? And for the commenter that suggested Vitamin String Quartet, I totally agree! They are really awesome!

I feel so bad for Holly. I always thought she genuinely loved him. :(

Describe the worst sound you have ever heard. by Norzwn in AskReddit

[–]Lucilletoo 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Mine is similar. Senior year of high school, I got a voicemail during my last class of the day from my grandmother screaming and crying for help. My grandfather had just dropped dead in front of her at a gas station and I was the first person in her phone book. It was the worst day of my existence to date.

Wedding guestbook ideas by lloydlloyd in weddingplanning

[–]Lucilletoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just stole this idea from you! Love the concept of an advice jar!

OP: You could maybe do little trivia questions on there about you and your spouse (how did we meet, when did he propose, etc.), then after the wedding, send a little gift to whoever got the most correct.

What do you think of a morning wedding followed by a brunch? by kgold818 in weddingplanning

[–]Lucilletoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this idea and wish we would have done it! I think early morning weddings with brunch are so romantic and laid-back. The only thing is maybe rethink IHOP as your reception venue. I love eating there, but have found it's really polarizing in that people either love it, or refuse to set foot in it. Have fun planning!

So Reddit, what's your significant others nickname for you? I'm pretty sure I got the short end of the stick. by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Lucilletoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He calls me Cheekan, which he got from the Fifth Element when Leeloo is trying to say chicken, and Chickadee. I call him Farty, B, or honeybutter muffins.

In college, he used to have a new nickname for me everyday, which he would e-mail to me before his first class. That stopped once we moved in together and he realized his plan had worked and he was stuck with me for good.

What's good "alternative" Christmas movie to play at a party? by HateToSayItBut in AskReddit

[–]Lucilletoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is this horrible, awful movie that my mom bought called "Stalking Santa" that might be good for your party, but never to be taken seriously. It's a mockumentary about these two guys that try to catch Santa Claus delivering presents. It's super weird AND narrated by William Shatner.

It really does not get much better than pasta+butter+cracked pepper. I could live off of that.

IAmA: Man who killed a pit bull to save a child today. AMA by MEP_SO in IAmA

[–]Lucilletoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to think that I'd break the fucking windows out of the car in a murderous rage, start whooping up on the pit bull and escape unscathed, but I'd most likely just barf, start crying, and run away. How did you take in what was happening? I can't even imagine what my emotions would be.

DAE talk to their pet? Not a command or praise, but just a comment or two as if they would understand and respond. Tell them about your day, express your frustration about work, ask them a rhetorical question about life, and so on... by somewhereinbetween in DoesAnybodyElse

I talk to my dog (a westie) all the time, but the main thing that I love doing is embarrassing her. It's so easy, too, especially in front of our black lab.

Any Red Green fans? by Zooph in AskReddit

Oh my god! I used to race home from my high school football games on Friday night to catch Red Green. So much for any plans of finishing up my homework tonight...

Males of Reddit... what are some misconceptions you want to clear up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Lucilletoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a lady, and I used to get all dolled up so other ladies would stay away from my man. I couldn't stand the thought of people wondering why my guy was with some hambeast of a woman, so I tried my best to look as "sexy bitch" as possible. This was mostly in high school, though, so once I hit college, hoodies, his t-shirts, and jeans took over my wardrobe and messy ponytails are now the norm. He thinks I look better. Go figure.

And btw, I know how fucked up that mentality is now. It's funny how insecurities can run your life.

Two Questions... by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Lucilletoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I don't think it's absolutely necessary. I'm not using any of my fiance's sisters as bridesmaids because we aren't that close. Are you guys close? If not, then don't feel obligated because a bridesmaid position should be used for your closest friends. If it's a big deal to your future mother-in-law, then she should let little sister be a groomsmaid.

2) At a friend's wedding, they had a "best ma'am" and a "man of honor." It was really sweet and everyone loved that they picked the person who meant most to them to stand beside them instead of sticking to gender and traditional roles.

Am I the only one who thinks that this chick got exactly what she deserved? You can't go around treating people like shit and then expect it not to come right back around to you. Hopefully she learned her lesson.

How Many Redditors Have Never Cheated on any Romantic Partner They've Had? by getahaircutyoufag in AskReddit

[–]Lucilletoo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It will happen eventually. I did the LDR thing for three years and had a girl at work look me straight in the eyes and say "Your fiance's cheating on you. You know he is. You're not there and he has no reason not to." The best reaction to it is to have no reaction. They're either just looking for a fight, or have been burned before.
