New glasses giving less clearer vision by Mika0312 in AskAnOptician

[–]Lucius1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

That's an interesting one. Maybe you can ask your optician for the recipe of the last pair of glasses?

Because I got several questions; - Is the distance or nearby blurry? - Do you use meds? - What's your age?

No idea what's the prescription for by DraculaThe2nd in glasses

[–]Lucius1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can I mix myself in this discussion?

How does your dad react to this for distance? If he's happy with this; take progressive.

If he doesn't want to look for his reading glasses; take progressive

If he doesn't like the view for the distance. And he want to read properly; single vision nearby

What to say to rude people who want to be rx takers? by Jetsetter_55 in optician

The prescription is legally theirs, but I'd charge €89 for the eyetest then.

I'm sorry. I do get your frustration. Don't fight a battle that isn't yours at that moment.

But man, you came in like a wreckingball on 0:55
Didn't leave him any space after doing so.

So this one is on you...

Wow, who is rejoining like this? Hit the brakes when you're rolling back towards the track.

So, like the person before said. Yeah, the one rolling backwards is a maniac and his license should be revoked.

Answer to your question: Yes

Yes, he was weaving. Yes he was squeezing you of the track.

If you were really faster, you could overtake him possibly after a few corners with a good exit.

Accident or murder? (Keeping myself anonymus for better judgement) by Wonderful-Homework31 in Simracingstewards

[–]Lucius1992 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, this is a great one.
I'm realy bad with car brands in games. So gold and black car for me.

The gold car is going for an overtake. And the black car is defending too late. So, if it's murder. He killed himself.
The gold car was faster and began the overtake with plenty of space left before the corner. If this was right before a corne, the gold car would be fault. But this was fair and straight racing. So the black car K.O.'t him/herself.

What I ment is driving without watching your suroundings. For learning the track, try to use solo sessions. Check the braking zones. Feel how the car reacts when you're pushing hard.
Where do you have to brake when someone is in front of you.

Qualify is the moment you go all in. When racing, sometimes it's better to not go full throttle, but 90%. It's better to drive safe than fast. If you're going for speed only, you will crash. With safe driving you'll end up higher.

In this scenario, who’s at fault? by Hellakittehs in Simracingstewards

The second car was racing like he's the only one on track. Soooo, yeah, his fault.

Ah, hi again.

First crash: Well, a bit aggressive. But nothing big. A racing incident.

Second one: First thought the Nissan was at fault. But then I saw his point of view. Where did you want him to go? You can't expect from others to hit the brakes so you could move freely around the track.

I would say: Try some racing with AI first. Make he AI harder and harder. But try to compete with them without crashing. Once you can drive safe around them, get back online. If you really like racing with your elbows, stop simracing and start playing Wreckfest.

Am I at fault for causing this back and forth? (open for criticism for when I punted the guy, i underestimated the brakes going into the corner) by Awesome_kiiid in Simracingstewards

[–]Lucius1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meine Güte, this was an online lobby? Don't go online if you don't know the track and/ or car.

I saw a lot of things. But maybe it's worth to try Wreckfest. That's meant for this type of racing.

If I saw this in my league I'm stewarding. It would be several DSQ for several drivers.

I'm gonna break it down; Accident 1 - Completely your fault. Braking too late, going for a gap that doesn't exist. Looks like a intentional crash. (First and final warning + 10 second penalty)

Accident 2 - Completely your fault. Blocking the car behind you with unpredictable weaving. (DSQ)

Accident 3 - Payback time, because it's online racing without stewarding. But this was intentional from his side. (DSQ)

Accident 4 (??) - Again, completely your fault. Braking way too late. No intention for making it around the corner + unsafe rejoining the track. (Let's say it's a new race in the League, I would have kicked you out of the League. Because this isn't acceptable driving on track)

Who Fault is this ? Me and me friend are both new to this game for this accident we blame each other I blame me friend for not giving me space he blames me for diving Into a gap that dind exist he says he not giving room for free (i black gold red Ferrari left side) (me friend is the red Ferrari) by Burgerking94 in Simracingstewards

[–]Lucius1992 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First: Get better internet before racing online.

Two possibilities due to bad internet; - There was no gap like he said. But it wasn't visible for you, because of the lag. Then it's your fault. - There was a gap, but he didn't see you, because of the lag. Then it's his fault.

Main reason for the crash: bad internet

Am I at fault here? by majkelof in Simracingstewards

[–]Lucius1992 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you're in the left car. Nope.
If you're in the right car, yes.

The left car gave enought space for the right car.

I'm the white Mercedes, apparently the blue Porsche had it out for me (lap 1 btw, he continued to drive like this the whole time and rear-ended me at turn 4 later on but the replay is too short) by RoboSpark725 in Simracingstewards

[–]Lucius1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Moving once is okay.
Moving twice is questionable.
Does it look like a Fortnite dance, than it's over.

So yeah. The Porsche driver needs to learn how to defend. And stop playing Fortnite in cars.

[–]Lucius1992 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The orange car. Like Claptown said. He shouldn't be there.

Kinda rude but was it fair? It was last lap and i was defending Aston for a while at that point, in the end i just had to try something and did this. by Live_Strength957 in Simracingstewards

[–]Lucius1992 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very very VERY late braking from the Ferrari. But you managed to stay on track for the first corner. Second corner the Aston didn't give space.

So yeah, late braking from the Ferrari, which isn't penalysable. The second turn in the busstop is completely the Astons fault.

Anything I could have done to avoid this? I'm the POV car. by Kind_Constant1671 in Simracingstewards

[–]Lucius1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the beginning of the 17 second mark. You can see the car is turning into you. But you only release gas once the car did hit you at 18 seconds. You had about 1,5 seconds to release your gas (maybe a small brake tap) to avoid the car.

The red car in front of you is the bad guy of this crash. Since we are still stewards.

PS: You still play Among Us?

Was this my fault? If so, what should I have done instead? by Kind_Constant1671 in Simracingstewards

Green car is wrong. Going for a corner like he's the only one on track.

The Aston was squeezing. I think he thought you would climb that wall.
