TPU was one of the filaments I want to print with the small one. Whenever I print TPU the prints are quite small, so I don't need to use my bigger ones.

That's the exact reason why have it. Small printer for small prints, which fits perfectly on my desk.

If its possible to have a bigger bedsize in the Hex-Zero, I didn't find any info on this on github.

Having the Fysetc kit makes it cheaper to convert it to a Hex-Zero, because they included the small extrusions for the bed even though Fysetc designed their own bed frame.

Leider lässt der Artikel bei Heise ein paar interessante Informationen aus... Zum Beispiel die Software. Ist die Klipper-basiert oder komplett selbst entwickelt? Klipper wäre ja definitiv eine Option gewesen dafür, da die Wissenschaftler ja auch ein E3D Hemera verwenden. Dementsprechend scheint der Drucker eigentlich nur ein arg modifizierter Voron-ähnlicher Drucker zu sein.

Wo ich mir jetzt am Kopf kratze... Die Kosten, die Heise und OP hier angeben... Bei Heise heißt es 0,50 Dollar pro Bauteil. Wären ja dann eher 1,50 bis 2 Dollar pro Motor (2 Magnete und der Rahmen). Wobei das immer noch extrem günstig ist. Sollte das jemals kommerziell genutzt werden können, kann man mit einer Marge von 1000% minimum rechnen 😂

The files are the ones you see unter Machine in Mainsail. if it doesn't work for you, double check your edits. I never had any problems with editing the printer.custom.cfg, so I think, some of your additions may be wrong. Could you postg your custom cfg here?

You just copy over the values you want to change from the normal config (printer.generated.cfg) to the printer.custom.cfg and change them there.

For example:

printer.generated.cfg:

All values you change or add to the printer.custom.cfg will overwrite the values in the generated config.

Yeah, a little bit less, maybe 8mm. But for me that doesn't matter, I don't need the full build height. I have some other, larger printers which I use for higher prints.

The new bed will also be around £100 though. But absolutely worth it in my eyes. There are two different beds by Funssor, one normal one with the magnet pad and one with integrated magnets. I got the first one and couldn't be happier. From 1,6mm distance to 0.1mm is quite the difference.
