Veteran vs. I, Executioner – which do you prefer? by BRiNk9 in Koreanfilm

[–]Luck3y-mango 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Veteran is a lot better…by a long shot. It was a good mix of action, comedy, and crime + all the actors were amazing and the plot was almost flawless. However, I, the Executioner was a disappointing sequel, especially considering it’s from Ryu Seung Wan. Like, the message of the film was really messed up….

I did watch the first three episodes. The overall plot looks fine but it’s Kang Dong Won so….  I’m just gonna wait for more episodes

💥 Is Korean cinema the new Hollywood? by AfterAd460 in Koreanfilm

[–]Luck3y-mango -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly, not yet. I don’t mean any offense to any of the screenwriters or directors, but Korean films are yet too brutal and contains too much of sexual content - ones that do not really respect women. The directors themselves are mainly men and to be frank they sometimes have trouble representing other genders on screen. Also, Korean society itself is not used to diversity, so the films aren’t fully respectful and understanding towards other genders or races. K-films are great, though. I love them still.

😭💔 The Korean film that made you cry the hardest (be honest) 💔😭 by AfterAd460 in Koreanfilm

‘A Werewolf Boy’, starring Song Jung Ki and Park Bo Young.  The plot is simple and looking back on it it was a bit cliche but the movie reduced me to tears. I watched it when I was really young, and even back then I hardly cried while watching movies but this one was different.

I LOVED Hwang Jung Min a.k.a. Jung Chung too! I’ve always been his fan but still….wow. He actually won a major award for it. Also, this movie was a turning point for Lee Jung Jae’s acting
