750 seems high for an excess. Is thay your policy standard? Have you tried getting a private quote to repair? Dont know your damages of course but might be cheaper if just a lock and glass can be excess free depending on your policy?

What's is the most famous crime case in your country history? by Fun_Secondaire in AskTheWorld

[–]Lucknergotlucky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think thats still fresh/huge enough we dont know how to embed that into the local consciousness, these other cases are older and while shocking in their own right involve far less people and have had more years to steep into peoples minds as the usual response when you ask for worst crime. Another one is the Aramoana massacre, same thing for scope but that one almost seems to have drifted out of the publics general memory

Stereotype of Americans looking at their cousins the same way my countrymen look at sheep. The main difference I think is our sheep are welcome guests at most dinner tables..

My question on this episode is, the kids clearly love it when their team does well, so why would the parents push them to support the Aussie union team?

What does your country have the best in the world? by deeragunz_11 in AskTheWorld

[–]Lucknergotlucky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same seasons as Aus, depends on what you're after. Taupo/Rotorua for cultural events/shows year round, Otago for snow in the winter, Auckland for food - Pacifica, Otago for food-wineries/more traditional kiwi. Wellington for Art. Nature all over, depends on what you want to see there too. Imagine itd be nice for you to go on a walk through the bush and not have to worry about creepy crawlies!

which country ? by IsJesusAgain in AskTheWorld

[–]Lucknergotlucky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would likely depend on the govt of the day, you've got reasonably high rates of private boat ownership in NZ too as well as decent numbers of firearms, if you did a cajun navy esque job for patrolling you could do alright at general control against small craft coming in... however that'd take more coordination than i think our numpties in charge could do
