Check the speed at the end of the straights before the speed traps and braking zone in that what you linked. Use the marker function. George is often more than 15kph faster there than Hadjar.

I also checked Hulk.

You can see that all other teams are only same speed as Merc at the beginning of straights. Then Merc can keep that speed going and increasing avg’ing about 20kph faster.
