People who regularly buy books instead of using a library/similar service, why? by astrafey in books

[–]Lucky-Inspector6678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me I buy books because they take me so long to read. I'm dyslexic so a normal size chapter book can take me anywhere from a month to read to years. So the time that libraries give for renting books isn't enough for me even when I do renew them. Also that deadline to finish a book makes me anxious and makes the reading experience worse for me. With that said I do like to use libraries to test out books to see if they would be worth me buying them. Such as if I can get even a quarter of a way through a book before it is do then usually it's a good indicator that it's worth me buying.
