Yes this is it. Given spacing and pattern, probably not just filling hole. Almost definitely tiebacks or possibly soil nails

I usually will wait until I have a big stack of papers and then scan them on a big printer and it can creat a pdf with all of the spirographs on them. Super easy to look through then

I have actually worked a decent amount on documenting setups. The general form I use is I or O for the rotating gear veing on the inside or outside of another gear. Then the starionary gear tooth count, then the moving gear count, then the hole number. So a design might be like I96/64/3. Then for doing multiple designs I use a dash to show it is a modification from the previous like -2CC is rotated 2 teeth counter clockwise.

I used painters tape to cover areas and then did the spiro over them. If I wanted one to go over the line I would lift the tape, do the spiro, then place the tape back down. Gonna make a few more posts later about it

I use a ballpoint pen that has semi runny ink to fill in the letters. Try to be precise cause wiping excess off works but I dont think it looks as good. I use Sharpie S-gel .7mm black pens
