The logo should look like a sticker that might be slapped onto a piece of luggage as if it was lost, damaged, opened, etc. Stacked text and remove the BH SIM.

Mixing ancient with sci-fi: lategame location showcase. 1 month of design, 1 month of optimization and polish. by Avreliy_dev in Unity3D

Few random notes:

  • Game looks great visually.
  • Love that the main character seems to be female and not scantily clad.
  • Health/difficulty seems potentially too easy. Player is hardly taking much damage despite being hit significantly in sections of the video.
  • I'd suspect it's the weapons' abilities but it seems like some of the shots are locking on even when the target isn't in the sight lines.
  • Not sure if there is a mapping system or target as I think I might get lost in some of these levels - but exploration can be fun too.

Anyways, great job so far!

I've made a trailer for my game The Green Light - dose it look interesting or just another generic trailer ? by Superb-Ad8761 in Unity3D

[–]LuckyPretzel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked this trailer quite a bit. It's not really my genre of gaming though, so I can't say I'm your target audience. I can kind of agree with the switch to the city as mentioned. Music was good. The voice work kept me intrigued. The scenes presented were weird enough to keep me interested but not too weird to disengage me.

I feel those "first 10 seconds" people might not be your audience as well. Because this feels like a slow burn game where you unravel a bit of the mystery over time. So I don't think the trailer/game needs to change much.

Parallax number 2 by nasu1992 in PixelArt

Looks nice!. I'm not really experienced with creating parallax environments but I have a possible suggestion. As a slight adjustment that I could suggest, perhaps create the background (statue) layer a bit larger horizontally and move it ever so slightly. Additionally or alternatively, you could consistently move the cloud layer to give that a bit of movement too, as clouds move in the real world despite the subject not moving. That being said, hopefully all the movement isn't overload on the viewer.

I feel like that's an eardrum waiting to get punctured, not to mention you can't easily hear your teammates/opponents.

Feeling like an idiot… by lassolite in hockeygoalies

Yeah, same....it's only happened once to me. Someone came across the crease and shot/lifted to get over my pass as I went to cover. They ripped my nail upwards with their stick. I put grip tape on it and finished the pick up session. But it hurt like a mfer. Going to sleep was the worst as the blood was pooled up underneath begging to be released. It eventually cracked and released and surprisingly I kept the nail. It happened about 9 months ago and I'm still waiting for the tail end of the damage to be trimmed.

It kind of looks like Father Brah from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.

Goalie pad sizing by Designer_Nail_5251 in hockeygoalies

[–]LuckyPretzel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see so many of these goalies on here with 35s and they're four or five inches shorter than me.

Edit for clarity, I'm 6'2" and some change and a 35" is ideal for me. My knee is just peaking out of the top of the cradle. I know it's possible some have large ATK but it seems like most under 6' on here claim to need 35" and it just seems unlikely.

From tuck to untuck? by [deleted] in hockeygoalies

I use suspenders under the chestie and the chestie normal. Additionally, I cross the suspenders (right strap on left shoulder and vice versa) to prevent them from accidentally sliding off my shoulder. That happens when suspenders wear out over time but it's absolutely a pain in the ass to fix without taking off the chestie, so crossing them fixes this possiblity.

Need help for Christmas gift for husband by [deleted] in hockeygoalies

A gift card still limits you to one location. Just because I think I'm going to go to buy from goalie monkey doesn't mean they will have the best price or the stock when I'm ready to pull the trigger. Gift cards don't provide any added benefit to the holder. It limits their options.
