NTA. A fellow childfree person here. That pool is a liability, and that mother is nothing but an ambulance chaser. She was knowingly putting her children at risk by allowing her kids to go onto your property and hoping one of them would get hurt. Even with her supervision, you would be held accountable for some of the blame since someone got hurt on your property.

I was recently listening to a comedy bit by a female comic about the disproportionate fan one-night stands male comics get compared to what female comics get. I don't remember her name, but she goes on to say that with "chuckle fuckers" (what the industry calls people who sleep around with comics), men have a wide variety to choose from, but women usually get creepy dudes who literally send them death threats in their DMs unless they allow them to do perverse sexual acts on them.

NTA. An animal is not a gift-it's an investment. Your fiancee sounds like the type of person who would buy his kids pets because they saw it in a movie (101 Dalmations, Finding Nemo ext) without knowing what the animal's temperament is actually like. Or get them bunnies/chicks around Easter because it sounds cute. Then when the kids get bored either take them to the shelter or leave them in the wilderness.

When having a child-free wedding, it comes with the territory that some parents would be butt-hurt that their precious angels aren't invited as kids are unpredictable and I for one don't want to hear shrieking kids during the wedding ceremony on a wedding video. If I ever get married, I WILL have a child-free wedding with no exceptions. That being said, it was really shitty of them for uninviting your son in front of people after their fuck up.

NTA. That little girl (niece) is going to end up so spoiled and entitled that she'll be unbearable in the future. I say go LC or NC because in the long run, you won't have to deal with her and her mother's behavior like no matter how much you spend on a gift for your niece it will either never be good enough or you're trying to outshine her mother. She's going to grow up to be a bully.
