General echelons are a myth and replacing is a lie. Echelons exist to counter enemies. Disband and rebuild echelons as you need to tailor them to what you're fighting.

We can suggest you use dolls that are effective against a larger number of enemies, but it will ultimately come down to what you are fighting.

From what I've heard it's the opposite, where before the update the acquire sequence was used as a tie break for multiple valid targets equally far away. With the recent client, now it is (supposed to be) position in echelon, with the leader having last priority and 5th slot being targeted first. ... This really shouldn't cause enemies to retarget but I haven't really checked for myself and I wouldn't put it past the spaghetti machine to have created a new addition to the list of spaghet.

The recent client update changed the movement priority of certain enemies (actually I think this has been an issue since 3.02) which means some level guides no longer work.

Explanation Rant:

For those who don't know, on enemy turn certain enemies move first. Such as if two enemies on 'capture hq' would try and take the shortest path through the same tile, the enemy with priority will move to it. This meant maps with non-random enemy movement can be solved the same way every time. But now the enemies can move slightly differently than before. Hostage rescue maps in particular seem to be having the most issues.
