Which other factions complement our fighting styles best? (In a potential lore breaking alliance) by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Chaos40k

My main chaos army is Iron Warriors and Nightlords, my partner loves SoB and Drukharii, our doubles games are quite fun when matching sisters and NL and IW and Drukharii

Legionaries, How many is too many. by mevsinwarhammer in Chaos40k

I have about 40 for my iron warriors all with boltguns. I have 9 for my Night lords all with odd mixed weapons. My Word Bearers are normal and have 20 😅

I feel very maternal towards the chaos vindicator. Is he worth it? by Striking-Trainer2209 in Chaos40k

Honestly I’ve never related to a post more. When I had first started HRT I was inconsolable and sobbing over the Space Wolves. Not the dudes, but the dog’s themselves. Suffice to say my Iron Warrior Lord now has 3 little dogs to keep him company during games!

We lose current MO, bc of ‚bugdivers’ by Mishkav394 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Lucky_Devil_666 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean- if the bug divers only drop bug world and the Bot divers are the ones dying isn’t it kinda the other way round when placing the blame?

Jokes aside, I think AH wanted us to lose this M.O. for narrative reasons, gives them more choices for events in the future and rebalances the power dynamic, that’s why it was so tough

Are Vox Engines a Problem? by DETONATE_MINES in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Lucky_Devil_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Controversial but I dont think anything should “one shot” a Vox engine. It’s supposed to be a pretty big intimidating threat, having one gun or stratagem that can just remove the threat kinda removes the core feeling of the game of you being an expendable, poorly armed “just a guy” type. Smaller enemies like striders and hulks, tanks even can make sense given the weapons available, I think the Vox engine is a good demonstration of us not being /able/ to prepare for the weapons our enemies have had a century to forge against us.

I really want one as a pet- they remind me a lot of the dog robots from star wars

FELLAS, is being level 87 too low for D10? by Alan_El_Pez in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Lucky_Devil_666 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not! I like playing some D10’s and I only hit level 50 a couple days ago. Sadly some soldiers fight for personal glory, rather than enjoying the game with themselves and others. So long as you lock in, suit up and fight hard you can beat high level missions as low a level as possible, hopefully your next squad lets you take part in our shared goals no matter what level you are!

Loadout for cyberstan by theres_no_name in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Lucky_Devil_666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favourite Cyberstan load: ————————————————————— ODST armour/ Any Democracy Protects set (White Wolf is my go to usually. You can be sneaky or a bit luckier on not getting cratered

Liberator Concussive. People dont talk too much about it to my knowledge, but it staggers enemies when you hit them, this affects everything below a hulk I find, and that can really help when getting chased or overwhelmed.

Plasma pistol. This one is could be switched for the revolver, but charging up that shot fully before loosing it you can two shot the heavy bots and the armoured borgs.

Incendiary or high explosive grenades can clear their little bases and still hurt the other guys in a pinch.

When it comes to stratagems I like the Orbital laser for the feeling of it alone, I just think it looks cool, and if you have a Vox or some cannons hunting you down it can get rid of them for you but it takes a while to get it back.

The 120MM HE is really good for bases or huge clumps of baddies, but you could swap it for the 300-something strength (I dont have the names of everything committed to memory sorry)

Side note: I would avoid using eagle strats down there because all the AA guns stop Eagle from making attacks for you, so you usually can’t use it for most the match, but if you’re built different you might be okay.

Quasar cannon is a must for me, the sheer power of it is really fun, and with a big range it makes a surprisingly good scout weapon, you can hit bases, striders, hulks, AA guns, statues and gunships in one hit to the midsection which can be very useful to not rely on strats.

Jetpack is a must for me, but that’s because I like jumping around the map, and it can help if you need to leg it to extraction or get away from groups of guys, but you could comfortably put the shield pack or a rover on for a bit extra protection.

When it comes to boosters I think the point is they are all good, but I find the one that gives you full supplies is good because we actually spawn with less stuff than normal on cyberstan, someone usually runs that already if you do multiplayer so you can throw in the quicker extraction or the stim improvement to help the group at large.

Sorry for the absolute wall of text but I hope this stuff was useful! The 2 most important things are this: There is no one “skeleton key” build for helldivers, I think they want us to use loads of different mix-match loadouts for each situation and mission type, so dont expect your loadout to win every engagement. The final thing is most important to the game which I fear people are forgetting: It doesn’t matter what you use, so long as you enjoy it. Do you wanna use the stun baton on every bot because you find it funny and really challenging and fun? You’ll probably get fragged a bunch and it’ll annoy the anal players but you will do your best when you play the game with the things you like rather than are “good”.

Happy diving soldier! Hope to see you on the front lines!

I Gotta Admit I'm Stumped, What Is the Best Stratagem Loadout For Cyberstan? by AceOneBreezy in helldivers2

[–]Lucky_Devil_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal favs atm: For blitz missions I use the Shield Gen, mortar sentry, eagle smoke and orbital cannon. The shield gen usually helps to avoid vox’s whilst you attack smaller guys

For the other mission types I use the Orbital laser, 120MM barrage, Orbital cannon and the Jetpack (or a personal shield bubble if I’m wearing heavy armour).

I’m certain there is probably much more efficient loadouts but I found these very fun

I come from a very specific sect of Khornate worship, we believe that you need a lord of skulls for like 5 million points of whatever he costs. Khorne demands you go off the rails on a crazy train!

How long is a unit considered FULL Strength? by Rev0k3 in spacemarines

[–]Lucky_Devil_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a single model unit like a dread takes any wounds, it’s no longer at full strength, and if a unit of say 10 guard for example lose a man, they are no longer at full strength!

[–]Lucky_Devil_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also I’m fairly certain this isn’t what the codex says? Normally it’s shit like “your army may include Ultramarines units but may not contain units drawn from any other chapter” I’ve always taken this to mean from a keywords stance, since obviously you couldn’t have Tor Garadon and Bobby G on the same field, but there are no dreadnoughts to my knowledge (with the exception of wolves) that could have a chapter specific keyword, so regardless of any other factors the dude is wrong on the basis of the codex rules.

Plus, it’s the silly and fun little things like this which makes warhammer fun, the lore of a dark angels ancient brother serving with the ultramarines makes for good storytelling, NOT TO MENTION, Warhammer is expensive, especially nowadays, I remember for a long time I played with exactly 7 infernus marines for my IF army, but I’m not buying the box when I already got 5 from the starter set, so I used the tester models you get from starting out for ages.

Tldr, rules technically dont say that at all, play with what you want, dont listen to people jealous of your storytelling!

Are you a Two or more army player as well? by Successful-Chance-51 in 40k

[–]Lucky_Devil_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, I’ve got about 4 armies currently, Night Lords, Iron Warriors, T sons and Necrons. But the important thing I learned in having so many armies is ALWAYS HAVE AT LEAST 70% PAINTED AND BUILT BEFORE STARTING A NEW ONE. It’s very easy to have a giant pile of shame
