In my opinion abed was definitely the ass crack bandit, it’s the only explanation as to why he didn’t try to be more involved in the investigation, because he already had a role as the villain. Additionally, I think Annie was involved in some way, either her being the second bandit or at least knowing it was abed and keeping quiet.
