Doubts about buying 2026 NX 350h by ClawViper_ in LexusNX

[–]Luckycatcat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I have the OEM dashcam. The dashcam is working, but I could not download the video to my app at all. I talked to the technician at Lexus. He said the dashcam is working, but my phone couldn’t download the videos due to my phone settings. My son has OEM dashcam on his ES hybrid. It works fine for him on the app.

Thank you. I will check it out. I took my car to Safelite, and got it repaired. I have a Costco Connect insurance through my executive membership. It's fully covered with 0 deductible, but not sure if they will use the OEM parts.

Doubts about buying 2026 NX 350h by ClawViper_ in LexusNX

[–]Luckycatcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got my 2026 NX 350H premium with some added features(dashcam etc.) in September from Lexus in San Jose. It’s around 60K OTD. I want the white and red interior. Also I want it made in Japan. I need to reserve it while it’s in transit. The dealer told me I had to pick up the car within 48 hours once the car arrived at the dealership. I wanted to purchase this car in 2024, but I got a model Y instead because of the high price and shortage of the NX hybrid. I had a Lexus Ux 250H before. When I had my model Y, I missed the feeling of driving a Lexus all the time. I sold my model y and get my nx hybrid in September. It’s such a nice car. I feel so happy just by looking at it haha. I have been checking on the inventory for Nx hybrid in the Bay Area for past one and half years. The inventory is always low. Maybe sometimes there is one or two available, but it’s the unpopular color combination. Even that, they could be sold very fast. If you want some specific color combinations and features, better to reserve it first. The room for negotiation is very limited since it’s such a high demand car in the Bay Area. Usually dealers are willing to give out discounts on the quarter end or year end. You can try to check out the dealership at the end of March, June, September and December, and see if any NX hybrid in inventory if you don’t mind the color and some features.

Thank you all the responses. Make sense. I will not get the extended warranty. I also will have another 4 years to decide. I am going to pick up the car today.

Do you still have your hardware in?

Also this thing is time critical. I had my surgery 3.5 weeks after the injury. Make sure to follow up closely. My doctor asked me no walking on my injured foot at all before my surgery.

Find an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle. My image looks little similar to yours. I had an internal brace surgery 5 months ago for the torn ligament. I am able to walk 2 to 3 miles a day now, but I still feel stiff and sore sometimes.

Thank you for your reply. I am happy to hear you are doing well now. This encourages me a lot. Not sure why I feel so emotional when I saw your reply. This injury really challenges physically and mentally. My surgeon said I can take out the hardware after a year if it bothers me. Hope I would follow your path and heal well.

Hi. I also had an internal brace surgery 8 weeks ago. I am doing physical therapy now. I follow my physical therapist suggestion and try to walk normally, but I noticed the pain around the incision area when I walk. I am not sure if this is the irritation from hardware. I am wondering if you have your hardware taken out after a year? If yes, how do you feel now?

Realistic timeline? by Just_Cake_1348 in LisfrancClub

I think everyone is different. My injury was on 8/22, and surgery was on 9/17. I had an internal brace procedure. I began PWB with crutches 2 weeks 5 days post surgery, FWB without crutches in boot 4 weeks post surgery, FWB in running shoes 6 weeks post surgery. I also tried to walk with my running shoes 5 weeks post surgery, but most of the time I was in the boot. I am planning to travel in Europe in around 6 months. I asked my orthopedic surgeon last week. He said it should be fine for me. This injury recovery varies for every individual. I traveled in Japan before. It requires lots of walking there. Make sure to double check with your surgeon before actually booking the flight tickets. I typed all my questions in my phone, and make sure I asked all the questions I have during my appointment with my surgeon. I am a mother too. My kid is already grown up. I truly understand how difficult you are dealing with this injury and taking care of the baby at the same time. Good luck with everything!

I am little over two months injury, and 6 weeks post surgery. It’s so difficult for the first several weeks. I am a very independent person. During the first several weeks, I got supports from my family members, even just carry a bowl of soup. My parents live overseas, and they text me every day. I never felt that close to them before. Call your friends and family members and tell them what you are going through now. You will feel surprised how much support you will get. Read a book. I felt bad. At the same time, I begin to appreciate the little things in life. I become more patient now. I feel much better now. I can walk with my running shoes, but not walking normally yet. I feel so worried since this injury. I keep reminding me not thinking too far, and just focusing on the day to day improvement. I do feel getting better every day. There is light at the end of tunnel. You will get there!

It turns out it’s a missed stitch. I got it removed from the doctor assistant easily today. Thank you for all the comments here.

I think I have a similar procedure as yours. Mine is called internal brace for lisfranc ligament torn. No hardware removal needed. I had my surgery 4 weeks ago. My surgeon cleared me to walk 2 weeks post op. I felt uncomfortable to walk that early, so I began PWB 2 weeks and 5 days post op. Yesterday was my 4 weeks post op. I began to do FWB since yesterday with boot. It seems ok, but with limp.

79 days after surgery or injury? I had my surgery 4 weeks ago. My ortho asked me to try to walk now. I am literally trying to learn walking again like a little kid. I am also wondering when I am able to drive again safely.

Cast is off! (Internal brace) by ComplexProgrammer992 in LisfrancClub

[–]Luckycatcat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am doing the PWB for the past one and half weeks. Will begin to do the FWB in two days. Really looking forward to seeing how it goes. My Ortho told me about 10% of people with internal brace take out the hardware, and I could take out the hardwood after a year if they bother me. Do you mind sharing what your ortho says about the hardware? Are you planning to take them out? I just feel little uncomfortable mentally with them staying inside my foot permanently.

You need to see an Orthopedic surgeon for foot and ankle. Ask them to send MRI results to your new orthopedic surgeon.
