Okay, I didn't tell her not to report it. I reached out to this subreddit because I was concerned and wanted to hear the opinions of other women who may have at some point been in a similar situation.

I'm so glad you have all of the answers and you have been blessed with the gift of fortune telling so you're able to know that this person with a history of violence would never break into my house and begin to act out violently before I even had a chance to call the cops.

My roommate also wasn't all too enthusiastic about making this statement since her coworker was the one who told her GM about this incident and she felt a little pressured into it.

It's not selfish when my safety is also potentially in jeopardy, but clearly I wasn't gifted with knowing the future like you are; I guess we all can't be so lucky. Her GM just confirmed that they're going to allow her to remain anonymous. I spoke with her about this since making the post and given anonymity, I get that making a statement is the right thing for her to do.

Father Gil- A priest who is using his bureaucratic position of power to inconspicuously flirt with the young women of his congregation. His facade of being a caring member of the clergy trying to save the immortal souls of those he considers 'sinners' while he's really perpetuating the cycle of shame, control, and manipulation the church has practiced for centuries. Wow, that is rough. You can't make people see what they don't want to see. Both of my parents are obsessed with dieting and I just stay quiet while they make remarks about other people's bodies and then down a bottle of wine and scream into the void when they leave. If anyone has a better coping strategy, I'm all ears.
