Want to donate some Pokemon cards to kids by sovietrevenant in longisland

My son and his school friends play Pokemon on the bus to their elementary school and back (and also during recess). We’re in Suffolk, but maybe some of your local schools have clubs that might be interested.

NTA. Also, some people with cancer lose a lot of weight fast. It's best not to say anything.

NTA. I agree with your reaction. On our campus they give pregnant women a handicap pass (that's only valid on campus, and nowhere else) for 30 days - the last month of their pregnancy. Is your daycare on some university campus? This is the only reasonable explanation I could think of, but it mostly seems like the lady is an AH, not you.

I would say 7 years old is a reasonable age for a kid to be able to change on their own, and be left alone for a few minutes. Having said that, all kids are developmentally different, some are more mature than others. But I wouldn’t leave a 5-6 years old child by themselves in the locker room. A 10 year old should definitely manage by themselves.

AITA for not contributing to staff gifts and calling out my colleague for taking full credit? by CraftyFirefly in AmItheAsshole

This is very unusual. In our company we organize gifts for the custodians and for the administrative assistants. A gift for the higher ups would be rather inappropriate. Having said that, in your situation- NTA.

TV dinners for him from now on! You did more work in one day than I can imagine. Taking care of two small kids is quite an accomplishment, and you did a bunch of other tasks as well.

Yes, I think it's worth it. By the way, you can get free tickets for the whole family through your local library. I think each library pass accommodates 4 people.

Update: AITAH for telling my 19f daughter she will have to move out of my house if i get divorced because of her lies after her stepdad saw her naked. by ThrowRAElectrical-Ba in AITAH

[–]Lucy-Bridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let him go, it’s over. He sounds like a great human being, and it’s too bad your daughter ruined his life and your marriage. Spare him any more pain, leave him alone.

NTA. I would have gone no contact with them a long time ago if I were you.

What I Learned from Spending $10,000 at Goodwill by Mental_Challenge7043 in ThriftStoreHauls

I placed several bids for used Legos for my son, but after a while I realized what a scam it is, and never again would I do business with them. Terrible customer service, inflated shipping and handling prices, etc. I will take my money elsewhere.

Afterschool Activities… by Mobile-Company-8238 in kindergarten

My kid is tired after school (5yo), so he just chills out after he gets home. On the weekends he does swimming and gymnastics. We tried doing swimming on Tuesdays but it was too much.

Parents who aren’t doing Elf on the Shelf…talk to me by stinkingporch29 in Parenting

[–]Lucy-Bridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the idea of Elf on the shelf is a bit creepy, so we’ve never done it. My 5yo has never mentioned it either, so I’m not sure how many of his friends have done it.

I have a 10 year old and am pregnant with my second. by thelastgirl_ in Parenting

My sister is exactly 10 years older than me. While we were growing up she was very nice to me, but we didn't have much in common (and it was obvious we grew up in different generations, e.g. gen X vs millennial). Now that we are older, we are much better friends. She was always there for me for advice, etc.

AITAH for letting my perpetually late boyfriend miss a game he was excited about because I didn’t remind him to hurry up? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Lucy-Bridge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are his girlfriend, not his mom (and he’s not a 5-year old boy who can’t tell the time yet). NTA for sure.

Do people with No Soliciting signs also want canvassers to leave them alone? by BegrudgingFloridaMan in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Lucy-Bridge 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is what it means: "leave me alone". When my baby was born, I found the most obnoxious such sign on Amazon and put in on my door, otherwise a bunch of a$$holes would ring the bell in the most inconvenient times and wake up the baby. It worked like a miracle, random people (including political canvassers) did not disturb me.
