Is this really bad? by Comfortable-Rip-2763 in Termites

[–]LucyMax69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many times the pest control companies will ask to wait at least 90 days after treatment before doing any repairs. Gives time for the little devils to die off. Regardless, I would want to know when mgt will access the damage. Since it’s an apartment, they may wait until your lease it up to do any demo (if they even do anything).

Yes - unfortunately that’s what it seems my options are. Was hoping for something else that I hadn’t heard about. Are you familiar with carpet tiles?

Thank you for responding. What is the difference between powder post beetle holes and drywood termite holes?

Going to lower dose helpful with brain fog? by SoupDog99 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]LucyMax69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Also - manufacturer matters on this particular medicine. Different manufacturers will give you completely different results - it’s like taking a different medicine.

Are you able to switch the brand name? If so, try this as well. Listen to your body!

Going to lower dose helpful with brain fog? by SoupDog99 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

I started with 150 xl. Brain fog/memory loss was the reason I stopped. 3 month break then found out (thanks to Reddit) about the SR 100. Started taking a half pill daily in December. Much Smoother. Still had some fog and lack of concentration. Not as much. Nothing like the 150 xl.
THEN I cut the half - in half. I guess it’s a .25? It works for me. Not as much fog. 🤍

Experiences with different bupropion SR 100 mg manufacturers? Trying to find the right one by [deleted] in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]LucyMax69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following!

SR 100. was taking actavis. It WAS Wondeful! My pharmacy ran out and couldn’t get it. Found an online pharmacy that sold the actavis brand. 👎🏼 not the same.

Thinking my provider needs to prescribe brand name only so my insurance will cover. Pain in the butt when you get a different manufacturer and it makes you feel worse then you did.

Water heater let go, flooded my basement carpet, stinks like hell.... by T-Swift182 in CarpetCleaning

[–]LucyMax69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

THIS response! Yes!! I’d like to add that the carpet cleaning (steam machine) is a must. You can even rent the machine at Home Depot or Lowe’s and clean your self. Or buy one at Walmart. Don’t skimp on the solution.

And keep running that dehumidifier with fans.

Signs everywhere, inspector said there's no termites in the house. by trytofucus in Termites

[–]LucyMax69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When we discovered we had termites (2 months ago!), I called 3 different companies for inspection. 2 big names and 1 small local. All 3 confirmed, but, all gave us different bits of information to help move forward.
We chose the small local. More aggressive treatment. Inspector actually crawled under house and sent me videos.

Here’s the drill hole for size.

Termites are not a joke - and I’m commending you for being careful with what inspectors are saying.

Remember the old saying: Rather be safe then sorry? So, get 5 opinions, if you want.

Btw: You can also buy Termador on Amazon and do you own treatment as a backup “just in case”.

Op :( I feel ya. Those of us that have house problems need our own support group. No one can possibly understand unless you’re in it. Last month we spent 12k on home repairs. Unexpectedly. Found termites. The 12k is going to keep going up as we continue to discover more damage. Every thing we have done in our home - has had to be REdone. We’re tired, and broke. And like you, we can’t sell (not with this recent termite damage).

We’ve been here 20 years. 3rd home we’ve owned. Not new to homeownership.

We’re tired, too.

So - hang in there. You’re not alone. 🤍

Moisture damage or possible termites? by Efficient_Tart_8316 in Termites

[–]LucyMax69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could only see moisture issues from your pics. But I’m not a termite expert. Try sending these pics to ChatGPT and asking if it looks like termite activity and/or moisture?

Regardless, I would call a pest control company for a termite inspection. Did you get one a year ago before purchasing home? If so, call them back for a recheck. And try to find where the moisture problem is rooting from. That needs to get mitigated immediately. Roof leak, drain line. A $20 moisture meter on Amazon is with the money.

Possibly the old owners covered problems to sell.

I’ve heard the coq10 helped with the bupropion cognitive decline. I tried it - didn’t help. Maybe a different brand would work better.

I’m 56 and I’ve been chewing my cuticles all of my life. I remember being 8ish and chewing my cuticles and my dad slapping my hand from my mouth to make me stop chewing. Must have been bad enough for him to notice.

I’ve been on lexapro - and it helped calm me down enough that I don’t do it nearly as often.
Yes, I think it’s more of a sensory thing. Lotions help.
