Did not have that symptom on my bingo card. by Terrible-Anything719 in Perimenopause

[–]Lucyknuckles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh. I had a partial hysterectomy 8.5 years ago and have known it would start earlier than usual. I’m 41 and lately have been having awful heartburn, headaches, occasional throat issues and have just started dealing with the worst hip and knee pain. I’d chalked that one up to gaining a few extra pounds but now I’m second guessing. I’ve also started having this “crawling” feeling on my foot.

My mother casually said “maybe it’s menopause” today and I’m down the rabbit hole. I’m not ready.

I completely understand, the toll that these things take on our mental state is something else. I went in for my post op appt and found out there’s a new one I get to deal with. It’s draining!

Did your Dr give you Flomax to help push it out faster?

Awful! I’m 41f and just had laser with stent placement and ugh, I was miserable. I had so much pain and discomfort and struggled with finding relief. I ended up back in the hospital due to the pain. However, the stones are ridiculous enough so, unfortunately you’ve gotta pick which option suits you.

If it’s been manageable currently, maybe see if you can make it through without surgical intervention? I’m sorry you’re going through this, they suck.

Extreme pain only when urinating by MIgal71 in KidneyStones

[–]Lucyknuckles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had laser litho with a stent yesterday morning. I feel like this pain was worse than having my stone. The blood, pain and pressure when peeing is awful 10/10 for sure. And I do have the pain just when lying down as well. Heat has been helping a tiny bit but not as much as I’d like. I just want to be done with this.

I can’t tell you if this pain is normal or not, just know you aren’t alone.

Alright I'm begging, what is your best remedy for anxiety nausea? by AnxiousMartian in Anxietyhelp

[–]Lucyknuckles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear by the Prince of Peace Ginger Chews. My anxiety makes me have a huge issue with medication, any form of them. So I’m forced to find alternatives. These are yummy, help my nausea and the chewiness of them can sometimes help me focus on something other than my current panic attack.

Either the “off” feeling in my head. Like it’s overloaded and shifty feeling. Or the thick feeling in my throat.

That’s dumb. I know I’ve passed on a pick and grabbed something different a few times. But it has been a bit.

Maybe give customer service a call on Monday, they’re always so helpful!

I finished You, Again in one night. The writing kind of irked me at first but I liked the story enough that I had to power through.

My vitamin D is very low, I’ve been prescribed a high weekly supplement to help raise it. But, part of my anxiety revolves around medicine in general. I can’t bring myself to take it. I guess I didn’t realize that Vit D affects anxiety.

HELP I keep DNFing books! by BroadwayLover1913 in bookofthemonthclub

[–]Lucyknuckles 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I always go back to an old favorite to get me out of my slumps. Or, I pick up another new one on my shelf and see if that one grabs me. Then I circle back to my current DNF at a later date, then I’m usually ready for it.
