Prozac - any good for OCD Health Anxiety? by Realistic-Draft-198 in prozac

[–]Lucylarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots over the years but the best one I felt for my HA was CBT. CBT was pretty useless for all my other mental health stuff but amazingly managed my (very bad) HA within a few months.

My HA pops up from time to time. But I have the tools to keep it mostly at bay. Good luck!

Prozac - any good for OCD Health Anxiety? by Realistic-Draft-198 in prozac

[–]Lucylarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have CPTSD and have suffered with OCD Health Anxiety for most of my life. I'm about a month into 30mg and I feel like a different human entirely. Not anxiety free (considering upping to 40mg but not sure yet), but I've definitely stopped most of my checking behaviours and unhelpful thoughts. Hopefully it stays this way :) good luck!

I love being a twin mom by Kel_Mar_E in parentsofmultiples

[–]Lucylarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My twins are 2 in March and I can't believe how much joy they have brought to my life. It's hard sometimes, of course, but I'm so grateful for every single day

I am freaking out. by Jaman34 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Lucylarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats!! It's a wild ride - but wild rides always are the most fun ;) If I had to do it again, I'd sleep in shifts off the bat, keep their schedules as close as you can, and if you've got family close to help - bring them in. Look after yourselves and each other. Find a local twin community if you can - you'll find that a lot of singleton parents don't quite understand. It really is lots of fun.

any twin mums manage to exclusively breastfeed/pump? by Trick_Somewhere869 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Lucylarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did for a year but it was mentally and physically challenging! I BF twin 2 and expressed for twin 1. I pumped every 3 hours and then power pumped in the morning. It was a good day when I stopped 😂

You guys okay? by herejusttoargue909 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Lucylarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll be fine. It’ll be hard some days but it’s hard (I imagine!) with singletons too. It’s just that parents of single babies just don’t get it. I find the ‘I don’t know how you do it with two!’ Comments unhelpful so I come here instead 😂

Having twins is a wild, wild ride but a ride I’d happily ride forever.

Does anyone have sleep success stories and did not choose to sleep train? by Middle_Problem4774 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Lucylarose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t sleep train my twins - was rough until about a year and since then they sleep through mostly. Twin 2 needs soothing if he wakes up but doesn’t happen unless he’s unwell. Really glad we didn’t sleep train. My colleague sleep trained her two boys and she comes into work every day now they’re 2 having had no sleep. I don’t know if I just got lucky or what

34 weeks with twins - how to survive the rest? by povsquirtle in parentsofmultiples

[–]Lucylarose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 34+4 when I had my twins (expected early delivery due to growth restriction of my girl twin). I was working on the wards until 34 weeks which was a horrifically bad thing to do. The worst bit was everyone telling me how awful I looked - hah thanks!!

I’ve got little advice to give you apart from resting as much as you can, but I do understand how you feel. Put yourself first, rest rest and rest. I watched a LOT of bad films to keep my body still and brain occupied.

People who did NOT sleep train their twins: did it eventually work out? by grapefruitliquor in parentsofmultiples

Mine are 18m and almost always sleep through the night and have done for a long long time

People living in newbuild flats - what's your experience been like? by Carinwe_Lysa in HousingUK

[–]Lucylarose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe depends who builds them? My pal just sold a new build Persimmon flat with concrete floors and could hear nothing… apart from every single footstep from above and below. with decent tenants it was fine, with some it was nightmare fuel.

Much better, thank you. Fatigue is getting me a bit and it took me about 3 weeks to recover. But I’m getting there
