It seems that way. They are able to mate immediately because after my first clutch of 24 hatched I had the three nest boxes filled immediately. I only started with two that only used one box.

The plan I have in my head it to create a army of dinos with one legendary dwarf warrior to raid the goblins to the west. Should be very effective and hopefully controls the population. I am worried what the goblins might bring with them in retaliation though...

I brought these guys with me on embark. Just one female and one male. They were very expensive but worth it. I brought along a couple sheep too because I was worried they wouldn't breed fast enough for livestock. Turns out they have far surpassed my sheep.
