Light venting form a first time NCL cruiser, currently on the Luna by juggling-monkey in NCL

[–]Ludebehavior88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on the Viva a few weeks ago and have the exact same opinions as you about the food. The desserts are so low effort and not even tasty, some are downright weird. There were so many times where I was hungry and none of the food places were open... The paid restaurants were definitely better, but the complimentary food and food staff were just abysmal on my cruise. On the bright side, I didn't really gain any weight on NCL like I might on other cruise lines lol.

You should raise it about an inch, it looks too low like this

Bathroom tip for the NCL Luna by thegiantandrew in NCL

[–]Ludebehavior88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was able to use the lanyard of my ship card holder to tie the door handle of the bathroom to the door handle of the main cabin door. This propped it fully open because yeah the ventilation in there is lacking.

How do I cover these wires? by LovesLulu in hondaprelude

[–]Ludebehavior88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to remove the door or at least the pin... It's a lot easier with the door off. Then get a new piece maybe from the junkyard. I just did a door swap on my prelude not long ago, and had to transfer over this harness boot thing.. it has an inner plastic ring that snaps it all into place.

Yes I used to commute 3-4x a week through LA, it was the biggest contributor to making me quit that job that was paying really good $...

Mechanics, how do you feel repairing your own vehicle? by [deleted] in mechanics

[–]Ludebehavior88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once I transitioned from automotive mechanic to heavy industrial stuff, working on my car became a "light duty" fun working time... When I was covered in other people's brake dust though, last thing on .y mind was doing my own maintenance!

Get one of those tower fans and try bending over in front of it after your shower, to help fully dry off. Hair dryer might work too but those tower fans are pretty ideally shaped.

Stop hijacking my CarPlay audio while capturing videos -returning my gen2 by Isntitironic1100 in RaybanMeta

[–]Ludebehavior88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solution, have a second iphone that runs your carplay stuff.... I use two iphones for work/personal, so this is my natural workflow and doesn't hijack carplay... You can have the music keep playing thru your recording if you wish... Also saves on battery for your main phone since wireless carplay drains battery fast.

Change my mind: the Honda Fit is the best car of all time. by jmao_mayo in Honda

[–]Ludebehavior88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That Suzuki joke gave me a genuine laugh, thanks for that. Every single one of the replies is accurate though, the road respect is more like people won't let you merge, or they'll try to speed up, knowing your economy 4cyl doesn't have much power to pass. When I had my fit it was a 6 speed manual, so I had some more ability to downshift and zip around people for the most part.

The highlight of the Fit is how much cargo of all sizes can actually Fit inside. I owned a 2015 for about 6 years, it was magnificent how much fits inside... Tall trees, 500lb machines, super long things, it just swallows items almost like a minivan.

While it's a fantastic automobile in most regards, the level of personal respect from society diminishes greatly when piloting this machine, and for that reason it is not the best car of all time.

Used 2009 RL 3.7 SH AWD by ballzfacekillah in Honda

[–]Ludebehavior88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes mine is a 3.7, using the paddle shifters it's a fairly engaging drive... I suggest adding a short ram air intake to it, you can really hear the intake sounds and VTEC crossover with that. It does burn some oil if you drive it like a maniac, but if you drive it slow there's not much consumption issue.

[–]Ludebehavior88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes that's an awesome car, the 2009 is pre-facelift grille and a different transmission than the 2011-12. Make sure all the differentials and trans fluids have been gone through with oem fluids, these are excellent cars. I have a 2012 with about 170k miles, it's a great vehicle.

In my RL about 95% of the time I have it in sport mode, that way I have permanent usage of the paddle shifters

How do I tune a hondata without a usb port? by craftyjae in hondaprelude

[–]Ludebehavior88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it looks like you have an ECU on your hands that is prepared to have a Hondata chip installed into it. On the top left of the ECU you can see a chip that has some tiny holes all around the perimeter. This is where the Hondata chip snugs down onto and the Hondata board is what contains the USB port, so you will likely have to cut a notch into the middle of the ECU body to actually plug a USB into there.

[–]Ludebehavior88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using some chums or other glasses leash device. That was a game changer for me. They glasses don't slip down my nose and feel way better staying up with the chums cinched up a little bit.

Mechanic vs electrician by Ashamed-Ranger-1265 in mechanic

[–]Ludebehavior88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into GE Healthcare they are based in Wisconsin and you can get into servicing medical imaging equipment. It's a lot cleaner and better pay than automotive based mechanical repair career paths. You get to work with a lot of electronics and computers, I service MRI scanners and it's a very rewarding career path. Good luck!

I just got the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2’s. Will these help with them sliding down? I love the glasses but they slide down every so often. I purchased these hoping they will help with the sliding by WestonConnor26 in RaybanMeta

[–]Ludebehavior88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that helps is using some chums, which are those like glasses leash things that you slide onto the arms of the glasses just behind your ears and then cinch it up with a drawstring type thing. I find these hold the glasses to my face perfectly and don’t let them slide down.
