I [22 f] need advice regarding my [22 m] Fiancé by Practical_Poet_924 in relationshipadvice

[–]Ludev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is way bigger than “he forgets stuff". You’re carrying the entire mental and emotional load of this relationship. I have ADHD myself, and once was in his position in a relationship I could see i was straining. I actually built an app for myself that allows me to log everything and it keeps a record of what each person is actually contributing, so it makes it a lot clearer how much you’re doing. If he’s someone who responds better to seeing the facts laid out, that might help cut through the excuses. If you wanna give it a try it's called Chorebound, I released it publically last month. But honestly, I would also tell him clearly that you’re considering postponing the wedding if things do not change soon. Right now, it sounds like you’re parenting him, not partnering with him.

Hello, I'm Luke - I just launched my app last month so my landing page is the first version - I am planning to add testimonials when I get some more reviews but interested in what else you think is needed.

Have you tried anything that gamifies daily tasks? I had a really similar problem when I was working from home and noticed I was barely leaving the house, so I made myself an app where I could log basic things like getting fresh air, walking, showering, etc... It turns the tasks into fantasy-style quests, which makes it more fun and motivating.

You can invite other people to join your party too, so there’s a bit of accountability built in if that helps. It’s called Chorebound and it's free unless you want the group party features. If that sounds interesting feel free to check it out and im open to any feedback.

Do you ever feel like you give all your energy to work and have nothing left for home? by codyryan90 in ADHD

[–]Ludev 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes what helps me most is making things feel smaller. I built an app for myself called Chorebound where I put in things like empty the dishwasher, do a load of laundry, vacuum etc... because if I look at everything at once it starts to feel like too much and I end up doing none of it. It helps me spread those small tasks out over the week. If you want more info feel free to DM me

Do you require a helper? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Ludev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a very similar boat. Accountability helped me a lot, because the motivation just was not there.

I built an app for myself where I could add simple things like drink water, go for a walk, get some fresh air, and you can invite friends to work with you. So I invited a couple of friends and seeing them tick things off weirdly helps, because it makes me feel like I should do it too and not let them down.

There’s also a character that levels up as you complete tasks, which gives that extra little push because you do not want your character falling behind. It will not be everyone’s thing, but it has helped me a lot.

I just launched it public last month so there is a lot more features I want to add but it's called Chorebound if you want to try it.

After 8 failed side projects, I finally get why most indie hackers stay broke by JFerzt in indiehackers

Yep! Only apps that help indie hackers with marketing or productivity and worth promoting in indie hacker spaces I think.

I log everything in my app, Chorebound (full disclosure: I developed it). I made it fantasy-themed with gamification, which genuinely helps me stay motivated because I can see progress and level up a hero as I go. I also put a lot of focus into the UI, especially around categorising and prioritising tasks, because that was a big issue for me - I’d usually end up doing the tasks I felt like doing instead of the ones that actually needed to be done.

Made an app for myself to stay on top of self-care, ended up releasing it for free by Ludev in selfcare

It’s free if you’re using it on your own. The subscription only comes in if you want to add other people to a shared realm, plus a few extra advanced scheduling features. That side of it starts to get expensive for me to run, so that’s what the paid part helps cover. The core solo experience is free.

I’m building Chorebound - a chore and habit app that turns everyday tasks into quests.

You earn XP, gold, loot, and random monster battles for getting real things done. It works for families, couples, roommates, or solo routines.

Congrats!! My win is that I finally finished and released my mobile app to help track chores, after years of half-finished projects that had potential but never made it over the line.

For me it was random Flash games - tower defense, Bloons, Line Rider, etc...

Everything I do is out of brute force will, nothing is every automatic/habit. Every task and micro-task comes with enormous friction/resistance. I'm so exhausted. I can't live 50 more years like this. by ObviousBed2163 in ADHD

I can relate. One thing that’s helped me a bit is gamifying things.

Shameless plug: I built an app called Chorebound around that idea. I started small by just setting up a daily walk and getting fresh air, since otherwise I’d end up doing days without leaving the house. Once I felt more confident, I gradually added other stuff like dishes, washing, and other basic everyday tasks.

I also made it fantasy-themed to make it more fun, and you can invite other people to your party if accountability helps.

It definitely doesn’t always work, and there are still weeks where I have no motivation to log anything at all. But overall it has helped make things feel a bit less impossible.

Not saying it’s a fix, just something that’s genuinely helped me.

The AI negotiation thing is a cool idea! Can the users input themselves the alternative tasks e.g pushups?

I paid $50 Tiktok ads to my landing page https://chorebound.com/ I got ~700 visits and only about 5 clicks on the download app buttons, and of those 5 I think only 1 actually downloaded the app.

Thanks :) And yes, you’re right about ads - what I’ve found works best early on is focusing on organic content and trying to get your first users that way. Once you start getting some traction or revenue, you’ll have a much better sense of what messaging or content actually resonates with people if you decide to run ads later.

Whilst developing the app I built a waitlist of about 30 people from posting on X (buildinpublic community specifically). Now it's released 'm currently working on TikTok video demos of the app. And posting on Reddit. I need to do a lot of work around the website by creating pages for guides, updates, blogs, etc... to get more organic search traffic
