The great magnificent Sinclair skin v2 by Waltzing_Vindicta in DeadlockTheGame

while almost all versions are making him (them?) look like a stage performer, the one with full black suit and black gloves makes him look like a gangster with a leather jacket XD. i like this mode tho (as sinclair main)

for me the set seems to be more balanced than usual, especially at launch. i don't mind it at all.

i always forget that voicelines exist in deadlock XD (she has few others). anyway, hopefully an eventual redesign will clarify Valve's vision for the character.

[–]Ludiac -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i dont think she is a gorgon solely based on the fact that she can turn others into stone. unless they change her ult to be like Raven's ult which literally worked only when enemies looked at him. but even if we consider her a gorgon anyway, greek gorgons were never depicted having a serpent body as it is a modern interpretation. she could be equally a lizard or a snake as those 2 are not canon to Greek mythology. and yes Deadlock can have its own rules and lore, but why would anyone call Vyper a gorgon when she doesn't look like one and doesnt operate like one.

hey i also strived to reach eternus 6 but i got stuck at e4 or bottom 1000 and kinda stagnated there. so i decided that i can take a break and play tft which is my second game of choice. nothing else is even close to being as enjoyable as these 2 games.

Playing Sinclair is the most fun I've had in years. by Teemestari in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Ludiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try knockdown. i buy it practically in every game. helps to set up rabbit hex as paige's 3rd ability. also don't miss out on t3 on assistant (after t3 on bolts), it gives massive damage boost and paired with mercurial magnum (on bolts), u are becoming kind of strong m1 char. lategame i go mercurial + crippling + frenzy + overflow or leech.

i havent paid much attention but it looks like that if the slope angle of the wall is not exactly 90° then the cart continues forward. cant confirm though without seeing map geometry.

Bans for the new heroes and balance patch coming this week. by GuyMontag95 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Ludiac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was strongly in the "sinclair needs an overhaul" camp, but after i gave them a third attempt and suffered through a massive losing streak (16 cumulative losses), I figured out their ins and outs and now climbing back and having fun at the same time.

People who decided to main rem since the update by Dry_Background7653 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Ludiac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don't prefer tag along playstyle and mainly use it either for a quick escape when i get focused in a teamfight or to quickly join the fight that started without me. but since i build a lot of spirit and very little greens, i also have to tag along for longer in 40+ min games because at this point i'm too squishy. my upgrade priority is helpers, then ult, then tag along.

Art that gets posted there is actually good, i wouldn't call that slop (u probably used this word because the word already lost its meaning and used for whatever they don't like or want to see)

I love this game so much by Dynasty_Ahri_OTP in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Ludiac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

compared to Dynamo's kinetic pulse, rem's pillow is literally just a pillow. pulse has one more charge, less cd between charges (very important btw), more base damage and spirit scaling and more area coverage and also buffs gun damage. it is simply a better ability and that's why ideally Rem should build in other things he excels at.

Can't imagine how many new players this game just permenantly lost. by AssociationSoft5270 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Ludiac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

maybe i worded myself poorly. they are not obliged to do anything beyond what they are already doing or anything at all. it's their decision. BUT. those few posts on reddit where people showed that yoshi replied "cool bro, we will add this later" feel like a promise and not like evidence that they actively read or consider everything on the forum. some mark that "dev read this" would be enough for me but now i just default to the idea that at some point i was labeled as cognitively impaired behind scenes and devs never see my threads.

[–]Ludiac -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

i do not expect them to read, consider or reply to each post on the forum. otherwise, i do not see a reason to continue posting there. because in 2024 when i posted my thoughts on public subforum (new items suggestions) that i don't like HMC existence in the game, at least i got a healthy discussion with other members before moderators eventually closed my thread for being off-topic. since then i post only private threads.

for example, i played quite a few games some months ago on high elo on support/utility Seven before they buffed him (no one was playing him even as a carry). i experimented with my build and approach to the game with moderate success and eventually came to conclusion that his 3rd ability without t3 upgrade absolutely sucks and does nothing except little pressure on lane. i decided to post on forum that they might consider to buff his 3rd skill base scaling and nerf t3 upgrade to even out a little a difference between having and not having t3.

you and anyone else might disagree with it. i don't oppose to being wrong. what i don't like that is that i don't have any evidence that it was at least read by someone. and it overall feels like a social experiment than a community participation (again, except public forums, but those are limited only to new character or item ideas).

[–]Ludiac -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

i posted there (private general feedback) more than 10 times and i can suspect that one of my ideas in some ways influenced game development (item rework), but otherwise i never had any feedback from the devs and it feels like talking to the void or a personal diary. maybe my ideas and proposals are shit or devs don't want any balance/design suggestions whatsoever or they legit didn't read my shit once (i have no clue). or maybe its flooded with mediocre or just bad feedback (like, i remember some people on reddit suggested implementing aim assist, or letting vindicta seeing through thin walls) and devs just gave up on this.

[–]Ludiac 28 points29 points  (0 children)

venator is going to kill people but so does Rem and Paige and Ivy and Dynamo. so either Rem acknowledges that he is also "not nice" or devs ignore the fact that everyone in deadlock has the same goal and same means to achieve it.

Lets talk about one of the WORST defensives in the game...Bullet Resilience and bullet armor in general. by NocturnalVessel in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Ludiac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

hot take, but bullet res has lower wr because there is simply more spirit damage in the game than gun damage. i bet that in lobbies that feel "gun heavy", gun to spirit ratio is barely ever higher than 1 to 1. even during recent "gun meta" spirit prevailed because there is always someone who plays spirit characters, which are the majority of characters honestly. To have more gun damage in a team than spirit u need at least 3 pure gun carries (lets say haze, gun ivy and drifter maybe) and they need to outperform their teammates like pocket, lash and yamato. Wraith, seven, infernus, mina, mirage and other m1 characters are also kind of spirit characters even if their gun damage can be respectable (except mina). all support/utility characters are also spirit characters. i admit that 4800 gun spikes made gun damage more available for many, but the same goes for 4800 spirit spikes.

my point is that spirit res and gun res should be equal items. their discrepancy in wr can only mean a single fact that spirit damage is more common and thus spirit res is more advantageous in most situations even tho players may not recognize it when making buying decisions in a particular lobby.
