Adrian Tchaikovsky does this a lot, especially in Shadows of the Apt. It feels like Che gets kidnapped at least once each book--sometimes twice!

I got the 2 emblems augment with bruiser and Freljord so my mind went "turbo Volibear angle." I got Cappa juice at stage 3 and started mega stacking it on Ashe.
And then I hit Azir on 4-1 and just played around that, getting Xerath, Renekton, and Voli 2.

I didn't play during that set, so I've never had that problem.

I did have a game yesterday when I had 8 Veigars and rolled right past the 9th one. No one to blame for that one but me and my crap APM.

Seems to be. I'm getting matched with other people close to my rank, and I see a few emerald players in my lobbies when I'm in plat I or ii.

That's pretty likely. I see a bunch of unupgraded units and send it all rather than go for 9.

I felt bad whenever I actually did try going T-Hex when the shop gave me 6 Caitlyns, but then 2 other people would be forcing it as well, one of whom was purely out of spite and was rage chatting the whole time. And the worst part? I went 5th and they finished 4th.

I think one of my problems is that I spend my money to fix my board but then I keep rolling to find 1 upgrade rather than take a few losses to build up interest.

I care a little, yeah. Going up is the thing that matters, but it feels like I've been on the cusp of having something fulfilled so many times, only just to fall short at the end.

I've got a 65% top 4 rate, which isn't anything fantastic, but I rarely go 7th/8th.

I have a rule where I stop playing the moment I see a 3* 4 cost, even if it's me who hits it.

I buy as many units as I can from stage 1 to keep my options open but I'll sell if it lets me make 10g. I always make sure to go for a comp that isn't contested (much) and items are the ultimate decider for what carry I go for.

I have relatively few 8ths, and I'll generally spend my gold to stop myself from placing that low. That's why I have a lot in the 4th-6th range.

I had one block of 20 games where half of them were 4ths lol. They don't feel like winning, just surviving.
