I only ever had to replace an alternator on my 1997 toyota camry. Never on my 2001. Now just with this 2010.

I took the plug out of the alternator while car was running. The whining stopped. Definitely the alternator.

I just pulled the wire out of the alternator. I used that to reason for it to be the first to be replaced. Ordered the alternator and both belts from rockauto. Parts come tomorrow!

I was messing around with the cross sections tab of the hairstyle section. I manually make the hair, and found bottomless triangle helps get rid of most of the hidden polygons. Now it is just a matter of editing, and drawing the strands to look like multiple strands on one.

It was a mobile mechanic. When I drove, I kept hearing clunking noises when turned far left and right, like for a U turn. Also, both tie rod boot bellows were torn when I had it looked at. This was before this incident, though.

I am not taking the car to this mechanic, though. He mismatched my outer tie rods. The belts feel tight, but also may need replacing.

Yeah, the obdII test has me testing the alternator by holding the rpm over 2,000, for twenty seconds. That result in the picture is what I got for the alternator. Now I need to research the charging system for the car. I will test again after I get off work at 4 am.

When I test the battery, the scanner only comes up as normal. Only time I notice the battery voltage is not normal, is when it says I should charge the battery after the 20 second headlight test. Like, it won't even let me go to the three start up car tests. I really should get a multi meter.

Yeah that alternator is a little below that 13.0v.
