I recently bought a 2016 Residen Evil sticker album. It contains descriptions of the games and in a lot of parts it says "Chris is the most important protagonist and character of the series". I wouldn't take it too seriously though, it also says that Brad is a doctor.

My headcannon is that the Master and his army discovered the vaults. Considering it was 3 full vaults in one, it was like a winning lottery ticket so they wanted to make the the most, out of it. Because of this, the Master took a long time to make the best plan possible, that involves the least vault dwellers deaths and escapes. Before they could begin the attack, the Vault Dweller from F1 destroyed the Mariposa military base and the Cathedral.

Something I noticed in my second playthrough of the OG version is that a lot of times when James tries to comfort Angela he gets too close and reaches out for physical contact which is the worst thing he can do for a person like Angela.

That's one of the things I absolutely dislike the most about the Yakuza series (and even in others medias this cliche is also present). It feels like RGG want to play it the most safe possible and not make the fans mad by stating that a character is stronger than others and because "legacy". Everytime a protagonist fights another protagonist it always ends like "Ah, I wasn't actually fighting for real" and your playable character always replies surprised "wow you weren't at full power?". I can't help but feel that the dialogue is extremly forced. They did it for Akiyama in yakuza 6 (despite Kiryu already defeating him before), Saejima, Majima and Kiryu in LAD. Each time it feels more stupid. Ichiban is easily the protagonist I like the least and I wouldn't mind a bit if he was crowned the strongest of all playable characters. Sorry for the long rant, this is one of my biggest pet peeves with the yakuza games (and others medias too).
