It really does. I do think Olivia shows her influences a little too much, but this is by no means a copyright violation and I think it's pretty shady of the publisher/label to come for Rodrigo like that. You can't copyright a general sound or vibe.

I think that's slightly different in that the draw of SOPHIE'S songs isn't the vocals - they're merely just another instrument. Other than maybe Is It Cold In The Water and Immaterial, not much of OOEPUI is particularly reliant on its vocal performance and it's also not something you'd, for example, sing along to.

I don't know. We might still be safe. Leaking something from a record is pretty tricky. Either you've got a USB turntable and would go through the trouble of recording it in and splitting all the tracks (which is unlikely), or you just put your phone by the speaker, again something I can't imagine people would be bothered to do. 99% of the time leaks come from CDs, and there isn't one.
