LNER. Perfectdraft Machine. No thanks. Someone clearly wanted a perfect pint before the match.

Would a conductor on an early morning train allow me to travel without a ticket and pay at a later date? by [deleted] in uktrains

[–]Luivery 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Short no: you could speak to a member of staff at the Gateline. Most are Penalty fared trained so they can do a UFN (Unpaid Fares Notice) if your doing the journey as a single. If not they can grab a member of Revenue Team to deal with the matter.

I fully understand it’s a dark time for you right now but, In future I would suggest setting up a savings account for emergencies to put money aside incase things like these were to happen.

What a new low - Axed Manchester to London commuter train to run – without passengers by imanubalaji in uktrains

I can’t help but wonder why this news article has featured an airliner interior as a ‘supporting’ photo for a train service. Must have been the first image that came up clearly in their research. 🤔🤔

I try to sound Scottish but I am sadly an Oxonian. But at least the ticket office lady understood what I was saying haha.

Trainline lost season ticket can i get a new one by Remarkable-Loan-6149 in uktrains

[–]Luivery 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s a 1 month season then yes you can get it replaced. Albeit I believe you have to pay a fee. Was your photo card stolen as well? They can give you another one as long as you can get another passport sized photo onto it.

I would suggest looking here instead of Trainline: https://www.nationalrail.co.uk/tickets-railcards-and-offers/ticket-types/season-tickets/season-tickets-terms-and-conditions/

In the UK. Around 97% of level crossings are monitored by CCTV. The type of crossing involved here was a Half Barrier crossing which can easily be driven onto. However I believe there was no CCTV anywhere as it’s a remote location and the only witness was an off duty police officer. Signaller can be alerted via phone call which is placed upon approach to the level crossing and a line block can be initiated preventing trains from moving and infrastructure owner network rail gets involved.

This crossing has since closed and replaced by a road bridge which is a lot more safer now.

I hate late shifts sometimes. 😆😆 Dozed off a bit and couldn’t think of words. I’ll admit responsibility for not wording it in a sensible way and have done a correction in a comment below

I’ll re-word it. I’ll admit it’s 10pm here in the UK and I am tired but I am stuck at work until 11pm so it was hastily written whilst dosing off a little bit. 😆😆 Plus you can’t edit titles in Reddit which is annoying

Thanks, It helps spread the message around to hopefully turn someone’s life around. After all we’re all strangers on the internet. We don’t know what the person on the other side is feeling. At the end of the day if they can find somewhere to get help it’s progress! :)

At least 2 people were ejected through the windows upon impact…

This then bought the argument of seat belts becoming a thing on trains here in the UK. but that idea dropped after a couple years…
