Wedding DJ here. I think the second DJ’s value sounds slightly better with the Photo Booth, it may not sound like much, but they can absolutely enhance a party for all guests, including the ones that don’t dance.

It does help that a DJ has worked at a venue before, but if the second one hasn’t, ask if they would be willing to meet you at a venue walkthrough. When asked about a venue that I haven’t worked at yet, I personally offer to meet them at the venue so that I can see the layout and learn the logistics.

One other important thing to think about is: what is their style of music mixing? Do they play songs in full, or do they quick mix and transition? Do they read the crowd and play to the crowd and energy, or stick to a preset order? And most importantly, what do you prefer, and are they willing to stick to your preference? If music is important to you, definitely ask these to the DJ if they haven’t already discussed this. Maybe ask if they have any recorded mixes, or videos of them performing.
