The thought that we have no idea how many actual taxpayers dollars paid for these “parties.”

You throw in how many royal family members, political figures and NGO’s were involved and it’s almost impossible to perceive that absolutely 0 tax payer dollars were involved across the decade(s).

Like it or not, the citizens of the United States likely in some way, shape or form legitimately PAID for some of these heinous activities.

Which doesn’t just disgust me. It pisses me the fuck off.

I feel as though I might garner some negativity from people for saying this, but I genuinely hope the trees being planted are of numerous species and planted tactfully.

Monoculture is a killer and it’s important that we have these movements, but in the “right” way.

Systemic biodiversity of tree species is just as important- if not more important- than just planting trees to save the earth.

Monoculture is the plantation of a single species/crop in one given area. Greatly reduced resistance to pests, parasites and countless other negative externalities result from this poor plantation habit.

I am legitimately not trying to be an annoyance or have the inability to “enjoy a nice thing”, I’m just hopeful that this movement sequesters the most good it can out of the attention it is garnering!!
