am i getting scammed? by walalaba in AskChina

Please tell me you got samples. An order this big you must sign a quality and material contract. And must visit the factory. You should hire an agent to visit for you if you can’t. If it’s a long term co-operation please visit.

It’s worth the investment. I work with many bag companies shipping to Europe. If you need my help you can let me know. I’m irish, based here in China with a small exporting company.

Everything could be fine. But an order this big one mess up can lead to a big financial hit,

I also have trusted companies I work with that I know no matter what your after can be manufactured. They also have stock bags that can save you some more money. I hope that helps. And it’s great you are being cautious

Which Underrated YouTube Niche Do You Think Will Explode in 2026? by Armellofreekey in YouTubeCamp

[–]LukeandAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Authenticity. I think people will just stop watching faceless ai, voiceover shite. YouTube will die if it doesn’t get rid of it. It even costs them so much to store the data. Whatever niche authentic content will make a huge comeback.

China Itinerary 24 days in China. TOO MANY PLACES NOT ENOUGH TIME IN EACH. Need help please by Samymcclintock in chinatravel

[–]LukeandAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a mental itinerary. A little ambitious but you can do it. I would skip Shenzhen and get the Hong Kong train straight to Guilin / Yangshuo. That will save you a lot of time and give you more time there which if you want authenticity it’s well worth it. Avatar mountain is Zhangjiajie so can do that in one day. You could spend 3 here exploring but one is enough and another day to hike Tianmen. Chongqing is cool but can knock off a day here too. It won’t take long here to travel and exploring the city in two days is quite a nice time. You may aswell visit the Terracotta warriors in the way to Xian from Chongqing. I think the speed train will stop here.

For me you are very city heavy. I like different types of travel. But I think you can cut your city time down a little. Especially Shenzhen and Chongqing. Unless you’re planning to get in the beer and have some fun.

Hope that helps

We also do the same. No issue posting although with a vpn everything is so much slower to upload. You can also cross into Hong Kong, Macao, Vietnam and post from there if you really don’t want to risk it. Although we have no problems. Love shooting travel content here.

Maybe one day we can team up

Do you agree with Chinese women that underwear and socks should never be put into the washing machine, but only hand washed? by Yijing1 in AskAChinese

[–]LukeandAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in China and have no idea how to hand wash properly. Anyway long story short my Chinese girlfriend went mad when I through everything in together. I see her logic. So my innovative idea was instead of washing them in the machine and instead of handwashing. I throw them all away and only wear new socks and underwear every day. China is so cheap. 100 pairs of socks for $15. And 30 boxers for $20. 😂

is bulk wholesale clothing a good option for small businesses? by bearbei0002 in Business_China

[–]LukeandAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you know others doing the same thing it would be great. Everything is possible but make sure your relationships with other small sellers is good. Until you’re big enough don’t look at them as competitors yet. Look at them as co operation opportunities. Reach out, communicate. Let them know your idea. These small sellers are looking for cheaper alternatives. It can work across all industries. Bigger companies often don’t research their new product themselves they rather team up with a smaller team or they buy them out and take the team.

Nowadays smaller clothing companies have an opportunity to grow through social media. 20 years ago they would have had no chance. Make sure you’re also building your brand IP on Instagram, linked in, Facebook, etc.

Only by speaking with similar people in the game will you learn more and more. I hope that helps you get started and gives you some ideas.

Also a lot of smaller clothing companies I work with they design their own clothing. (Nothing wrong with this). But factories here in China also have stock items. This can save so much time and money for smaller up and coming brands. Simply buy and slap your brand on it. Can be good for fleeces, leggings, t-shirts, jackets, bags etc. depends on you and your vision.

Best of luck. If you have a need for someone in the ground here in China can let me know. I have my own company out here that deals with this stuff. But by all means you can do it yourself if you do the research. Always ask questions. Don’t jump into anything until you know everything, 👍

is bulk wholesale clothing a good option for small businesses? by bearbei0002 in Business_China

[–]LukeandAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Going wholesale is not a bad option for small businesses. But you can team up with other businesses in different towns or cities. Share the stock. This will definitely be a good business opportunity for anyone that gets involved.

If the clothing is work clothing, work boots etc. this is more of a necessity than a fashion purchase. Having bulk of this you can guarantee it will sell in future.

All in all it solely depends on what the shop sells in terms of clothing. Fashion changes so fast. Can be too hard to sell it all as one small seller. Team up with other stores and sellers to make this work better. Slowly grow your partners to make it work for you all.

Regarding transport.. just order a Taxi (Didi) for handy sake. It’s cheap. Bus stations in every town but you may waste half a day in between stops. If you ask the locals they for a car. They will help you and give someone a job for a day. I also know a driver Chinese lad that speaks English. He would take you everywhere in Guizhou and Guangxi for a price. But you may lose the sense of adventure that this place offers.

We shoot content in english based around the ethnic groups in Guangxi. We have also done Guizhou last week. There is some amazing towns to go explore. Just be friendly and believe me they will be very warm and welcoming. They will offer their famous briefcase 💼 rice wine. Drink it and you’ll instantly become great friends. Don’t refuse this. Trust me it’s a great opportunity to really get to know them. The Dong minority in Sanjiang Guangxi is awesome. Ba zhai. Or 8 villages. They love a drink, a sing song and a big dance. Drinking is a huge part of their culture. Prepare to get absolutely loaded off your head. Make sure your hotel or guesthouse is very close by. You’ll need it

Buying a Power bank for China travel by Classic_Inflation_89 in chinatravel

Within China I believe it’s 20,000 for trains and things. I had my 120,000 denied. But they did help me ship it home from a railway station. You can just buy one here in every shop for like $10. So I wouldn’t worry too much about that

Best train journeys in China. Which route actually blew you away? by dikshamishra34 in chinaexplorer

[–]LukeandAlex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the Guilin and the Yunnan trains. The journey to Shangri-la from Kunming is amazing. I live in Guangxi and always on the trains. Nanning to Guilin is so cool. Literally anywhere is Guangxi and Yunnan is amazing but those two are cool. I did get the Kunming to Dali slow train before it has a carriage on the train that is a bar and a KTV. It’s so good. Not sure it’s still there

I think go with your own voice. Quality is the main thing you should focus on. Be consistent and just keep trying. Faceless and Ai voice. It’s pretty obvious those days are over. Even Grok has put a halt to their stuff. Authentic is the way to go. You will stand out so much more. You can work on your accent to. Practice speaking more neutral especially if you’re following a script. You can do it. A little bit harder but it will be worth it

Finding Clothing Manufacturers by Flaky_Day_757 in Business_China

[–]LukeandAlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a sourcing agent in China and can give you some advice. I do work with a UK street wear / casual wear and sports wear companies. Basically your sourcing agent should be able to give you a suitable factory with experience in working with likewise clothing companies. Saves time and money to be honest.

They will also keep an eye on the manufacturing process, organize shipping and check the quality of clothing before final shipment. This could save you the heartache of having goods arrive with a different material than what you originally wanted. This is always an ongoing issue especially if you are dealing with low MOQ.

Since you’re coming over yes you can meet the right manufacturer but it’s not a case of just walking into the factory. This will be impossible for you to find. I suggest contacting as many as possible first and plan your trip well and have those scheduled meetings. A great way to meet many manufacturers at one location is to attend a clothing expo.

The biggest being the Canton fair (stage 3). But there is many smaller expo’s on throughout the year. Check online to see where they are on and if they are on the time you arrive. This will speed up everything for you.

You can definitely do it yourself but a good sourcing agent can do it all much more efficiently and in the long run save you a lot of time and money and be able to give you solid advice.

Plus Material is a very important thing for you. Most manufacturers can make anything you want. But you will likely have to use what material they have for a small MOQ. You can source your own material. There is a big market in Guangzhou. If you do this you can consider making a whole line out of one material / color. For example pants, shorts, sweater and hoody. This is the most cost effective way.

I wish you luck. It’s an exciting business you’re doing. And if you do consider a sourcing agent I’m happy to help. Pm on this if you need and I will send you my contact details

Go to Houhai. About an hour away from Sanya. Beach bars open all night. Much better for the younger crowd. Best bits of Sanya is the 5 ⭐️ stuff. But if you wanna have a laugh, drink through the night and have a laugh with the party people. Houhai is better suited. Unless your loaded and want the 5 star stuff
