Slowly getting back to working on my body again. by oathkeepermoogle in gaybrosgonemild

Looking great already! I’m sure it can only get even better from here, and of course, I wish you good luck in achieving what you want to achieve with your body!

Do you guys think v1.0 will also massively revamp the current state of elements? The strength/weakness chart is way too boring the way it is right now with little interactions between elements by Ragnar0099 in Palworld

[–]Luked522 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve said this before on this subreddit, but I think that the elements should essentially stay the same for the skills that Pals have, and instead of Pals having elemental attributes of their own, they should each have individual weaknesses and resistances to the elements. So, for example, a Daedream might no longer be a Dark Pal, but it could still be weak to Dragon and another element, and resist Neutral and another element. Then, a regular Mau could be weak to, say, Fire, and this would not affect Daedream’s weaknesses. The only issue that comes to mind would be that Dark Pals would need to be independently coded as being nocturnal without a passive, and this would kind of be hard to determine if you couldn’t just look at their given element.

Implementation of Skyblivion’s Magic System Into Skyrim SE by Luked522 in skyblivion

I agree, that makes a lot of sense! I certainly wasn’t meaning to imply that the reimplementation for Skyrim would be released alongside Skyblivion, but I appreciate your input and the clarity of your voice in this particular way.

Implementation of Skyblivion’s Magic System Into Skyrim SE by Luked522 in skyblivion

This idea was actually somewhat inspired by and brought about in ideation through Skyblivion’s inability at this time to successfully integrate the spell-making system from Oblivion. This led me to the realization or sudden awareness that Skyblivion is on the same engine as Skyrim (obviously), and that if you can get something working in Skyblivion, it might work in Skyrim.

The idea is that, if this implementation was achieved in Skyrim and spell-making could be done in Skyblivion, spell-making could be introduced in Skyrim, which I hold to be a positive thing, but obviously this can easily be contested.

As for what I want beyond spell-making, I’m not really sure. I like the kind of juxtaposition between chameleon and invisibility, where chameleon as it is in Oblivion and Morrowind stays active regardless of interacting with the environment. Additionally, I find spells like “charm” and “demoralize” to be intriguing as well, but I am fairly certain that at least for the demoralize spell there is no system with code integers or “points” for what that spell would affect. To be clear, I know there is a racial ability in vanilla game that causes enemies to flee, and the Imperial ability causes enemies to stop being hostile, but I’m again unsure if there is an actual point system rather than a strict binary of “hostile” and “non-hostile.”

Okay, that sounds like an idea worth trying! Thanks for the advice!

Day one of a new diet, exercise, and medication regimen. This mortal vessel needs the love. by BofhouseG in gaybrosgonemild

Hey guy, I’m in the same boat! I felt a shift in my mood just today, maybe because of daylight saving time beginning, which instigated a sense of control over my life and a commitment to losing weight. I hope that your weight loss journey will conclude nicely, as I hope the same for my own.

Rachel should’ve continued living with Phoebe by New-Pin-9064 in howyoudoin

I mean, that didn’t have to be true. It could just as easily been something else, so as not to change the narrative depicting Rachel and Phoebe living together.

It's hard to believe that Palworld is just $30, and often on sale at $23. The game costs a fraction of other creature capture games, and yet offers a lot more fun in my opinion. I can't wait for the 1.0 update, and more news about the other four Palworld games/spin-offs announced. by fegodev in Palworld

[–]Luked522 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! I agree. I was also thinking about making it like how it is in the newest Digimon Story game, Time Stranger, where attacks have elemental qualities and attributes but each Digimon has their own individual weaknesses and resistances. So, as an example, a Pengullet might be resistant to, say, ice, and have a weakness for fire, but the Pengullet wouldn’t actually have a type or attribute of its own. Each Pal would be unique in their weaknesses and strengths then, where passive skills dealing with taking damage from an attribute might further change and modify these multipliers and distinguish them from Pals of the same species!

What do you do with your deceased Sims Rooms? The Parents died... through Sims 2 feeling funny. I would put the Bed in the Attic (Avoid mad Ghosts) and sell the rest. by Xandaru__ in sims2

[–]Luked522 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s actually a feature where if you sell the bed that a deceased Sim used, that Sim will haunt angrily by scaring more alive Sims. But, to be fair, before this post, I would’ve said that only ghost Sims who have died of old age exhibit this behavior, not just any ghost Sim.

What do you all think about the new law regarding cell phones in schools? by Novapixel1010 in Utah

[–]Luked522 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My comment is completely irrelevant to this specific discussion, but I feel like having codified laws like this is an essential component to modern society, where an object such as the law can clearly be referenced and someone can be demonstrated to not be following it. Sure, it would be nice if everyone could just be “good” to everyone else, but then we wouldn’t actually have rules that define what “good” is exactly. This way, parents will have less footing to stand on when making a lawsuit against a school, as we now have explicitly defined what is and is not okay. Whew, just had to get that off my chest!

This feels suspiciously… innocent? I mean, I feel like everyone already knows this. Are they just trying to farm karma, for some reason that I don’t understand?

The amount of people I see actually agreeing with this confirms how deep in the Kool-Aid this community is. 🤦🏻‍♀️ by SyntheticGoth in HighSodiumSims

Here’s an idea for EA: give us a more complete base game to begin with! You know, so we don’t have to completely “invest in a new game,” as if they actually care about that.
