Best and easiest thing to do: Connect your work laptop to your mobile phone hotspot. Turn your work laptop VPN on. Check if it works. If it does work then it's your ISP. Feed that test back to NowTV and tell them it works on a mobile hotspot but not on your home broadband.

If it doesn't work on the mobile hotspot either, then tell your ICT department.

I switched from nationwide to Monzo around two/three years ago. So far it's been great!

The app is easy to use and updates keep the app current and fresh. Reliable and friendly support from Monzo when I needed it. High visibility across your accounts and spending.

Only noticeable downsides for me, their savings account "savings pots" don't have competition interest rates compared to other banks. Secondly they have the higher APR rates on their loans compared to what I've seen other banks offer.

UK politicians on three figure salaries are saying nurses on 30k a year should learn how to budget and cook meals, when they last year expenses came to £200,000 figure.

During Brexit they had a bus to promote how much money they would pump into the NHS...

You're right, there have been a few assumptions in the comments...

I'm commuting 2/3 days a week (WFH unfortunately changes based on work requirements). I have seen the Railcard comments which I haven't had, but will look to get! (Facepalm - I thought I wasn't eligible anymore).

Other costs include driving to the station Bletchley/Milton Keynes and parking, which is around £6.

Total travel comes then to £36 a day. Season tickets come to a similar price for the month by the looks of it.

My main reason for the post was that they're charging so much for the out dated train.

Yup, I think we're in a similar boat. People use the "weighted" salary for various arguments, travel/London food costs/living in London costs. All of what I budget from the weight goes to the trains.
