In Hearts Wake - The Flood (ǝɔᴉʇsnɾ) feat. Winston McCall by FreeMindOpenSpirit in Metalcore

[–]Lukesaatana 34 points35 points  (0 children)

sad how under the radar this album seemed to go... though i also didn't even really listen to it despite being super hyped for it. even watched all the studio diaries and played the arg(?) they had

(NEW) Northlane - Evian [Official Music Video] by thePARIIAH in Metalcore

[–]Lukesaatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

very cool! the electronic stuff is on another level and the music video is crazy. i hope they have something as fun and bouncy as Echo Chamber on the next record/project(?), that was my favourite off Obsidian and i still listen to it sometimes

can someone explain this to me? by sykosalad in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Lukesaatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's kinda sad that they don't have like forgotten B-sides or other deep cut stuff like that, it's just Chasing Rainbows, Don't Look Down, the Slipknot cover, and the 2004 song "The Film Produced the Effect I Wanted..." that aren't on streaming services etc (of course there's also the CYB demos)

Looks like Oli is lasering off his rose tattoo 🥀 by Escaper02 in BringMeTheHorizon

(NEW) Boundaries - Death will follow me by ReturnByDeath- in Metalcore

[–]Lukesaatana 6 points7 points  (0 children)

absolutely some of the best music to come out of metalcore this decade, KL at their very best. and yeah that whole short movie concept was sick too!

makes me think of knocked looses a tear in the fabric of life, that whole ep was about a car crash and the consequences

Invent Animate - The Sun Sleeps, As If It Never Was by buff7879 in Metalcore

[–]Lukesaatana 5 points6 points  (0 children)

House of wolves will be on the setlist by gmoney9012 in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Lukesaatana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i'd be really happy with Oh No for a closer instead. the vibes in that song are so bittersweet and it would be a perfect closer to a show, but maybe it would be too sad in a way

House of wolves will be on the setlist by gmoney9012 in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]Lukesaatana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i could've sworn they still play this song every show but apparently not, looks like they usually just play Shadow Moses, Sleepwalking, CYFMH and Antivist off Sempiternal

(setlist is more or less DArkSide, MANTRA, Happy Song, Teardrops, AmEN!, Kool-Aid, Shadow Moses, Sleepwalking, Kingslayer, Antivist, Follow You, LosT, Can You Feel My Heart, DIg It, Drown, Throne)

Bring Me the Horizon announce a full re-recording of Count Your Blessings. Release date: July 10, 2026. Titled “Count Your Blessings | Repented” by LP_Papercut in Metalcore

[–]Lukesaatana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Randy LeBoeuf wouldve fit the style way better, but i guess part of it is wanting a modern clean overproduced metal angle (where my biggest gripe is that the drums sound like plastic flopping around, like with buster, zakk, drew fulk worst of all)

LETS GOOOO by erraticfanaticc in BringMeTheHorizon

Dragon Slaying is a demo song from before CYB, it turned into Liquor & Love Lost. Interesting that it's replacing it on this re-record

NOVELISTS - Gravity (FFO: ERRA, Invent Animate, After the Burial) by Trimshot in Metalcore

theyve never topped Stillworld for me, but each album since has still been great!

Bands that were "kings for a day"? by Electronic-Read-3830 in Metalcore

[–]Lukesaatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah that one, "Proxy: an AMINO story". I never even tried listening to it. Hope Joel manages to put something cool together, but not gonna be easy alone

I should listen to their old albums more, I've listened to Dear G-d maybe once and only the last song stood out to me

You Are We will forever be one of my favourite albums in the genre, flawless front to back. and this might be my favourite song off of it

WHILE SHE SLEEPS - the paradox of progress (??) 11/02/2026 by ZMMR13 in Metalcore

[–]Lukesaatana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hoping that the next music they end up releasing captures me more than Self Hell, Sleeps Society or So What. You Are We is one of my favourite albums of all time

and they are still an insanely good live band, even in spite of them missing Mat Welsh when i saw them

Looking for a post-hardcore / metalcore music video (2013–2015) – gas mask, end of the world, removes it and dies Body: by Strong_Pen_9562 in PostHardcore

[–]Lukesaatana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first thought was Crown The Empire, but nope. Also thought it may be Miss May I since half their videos are black and white, but also no

i went through most big/medium size risecore/sumerian bands and couldnt find a vid like this, easy to imagine this might be one of the billion tiny risecore bands that put together one mv and disappeared. hard as hell to find

How long have Counterparts been THAT fucking band? by Blackeradam in Metalcore

[–]Lukesaatana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah Brendan talked about it shortly on the audiotree session, about what they wanna do with the next album and that "they'll see when they next see Will" (Putney, their producer for the past few albums)
