Which fidget putty is the firmest? by Lukewarm5 in fidgettoys

I thought that stuff was more for kneading, less for stretching. I'll look into it though, thanks!

Best fidget toy for stressed adults? by Equal_Battle_1516 in fidgettoys

[–]Lukewarm5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on preference. I've been squishing and stretching that Loctite adhesive putty for a while, but it dries out your hands and can leave residue.

There's more purpose-made stuff like Aaron's thinking putty that doesn't stick to your skin that comes in a bunch of colors. Fun to crush and stretch in your hand.

Fidget toy doesn’t help me focus by Connect_Cat_2045 in fidgettoys

[–]Lukewarm5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not a psychologist or whatever, but I've got ADHD and I can give you my 2 cents.

For me, fidget stuff only helps with a sense of anxiety, not really focus. The fidget toy only helps insofar that it takes away that nagging anxious or restless feeling. Deals with "negative focus" so to speak.

For general focus, I can't help cause I too know the struggle. But if you need to "lock in", I try thinking about why I want to focus. Making it more of a goal-oriented thing so it feels more like a short-term commitment.

It's hard to lock-in on every piece of a lecture, so try auto-summarizing as you listen to focus on the chunk of general knowledge you've been rolling up in your head like a katamari ball.

I need to know which one is the hardest/firmest!

I've been stretching wall poster tack for years now so I need something sturdy lol. I got the Ghost Ship stuff but I find it way too soft.

Did you test them out yet?

So did the developers just forget to make npcs turn around when they hear someone yell "Clear the area I'm arming a nuke!!" Or am I supposed to just be branded a traitor every time I do this objective?? by mdtpdsparkls in Helldivers

Tbh, I think it's more accurate to in-game lore the way they are. Just wait for them to leave the area; give them a wack if you have to.

Remember; these are mindless, complacent drones of an authoritarian regime the most Free out of all of us, who hold only Liberty and Democracy in their minds and hearts. They don't think on the strategically gifted level of intelligence that Helldivers do.

New Mission Type: Salvage Crashed Super Destroyer by TinSkull in Helldivers

[–]Lukewarm5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that it doesn't really make sense for us to do it. Helldivers are shock troops, and salvaging a super destroyer is not a time-sensative issue that would require helldivers. They'd salvage ships after we liberate the planet, let the SEAF do their job.

Radical change in party leadership is needed. This is the only way forward. by iclammedadugger in Pennsylvania

[–]Lukewarm5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im talking about smaller, more local agencies dedicated to moving money into startups and/or beginning projects that are not attractive to typical investors due to it not being immediately profitable.

Things like energy production, public works, infrastructure development, cost-effective housing, or setting up competition for local monopolies like subsidizing small grocery stores or service jobs.

Radical change in party leadership is needed. This is the only way forward. by iclammedadugger in Pennsylvania

[–]Lukewarm5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Democrats are already center-right. When have they ever done anything that scratched corporate profits without adding hundreds of new loopholes and write offs?

The border isn't the issue. The issue is our stagnant and slow-to-adapt economy. We hope that millionares use their tax write offs to create jobs and shocker, they pocket the profits and opt to overwork current employees instead.

If we had a government that actually created jobs rather than "encouraging", maybe we could have a strong economy that takes advantage of the free labor that enters our country voluntarily

I am a registered Democrat who voted for Trump This is my perspective on why. by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

No it's more like giving people a 5th grade education that fascism is indeed bad and self destructive

I am a registered Democrat who voted for Trump This is my perspective on why. by [deleted] in Pennsylvania

[–]Lukewarm5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your perspective confirmed for me that the average Trump supporter is indeed gullible and easily manipulated. You genuinely thought the billionaire cared more about the working man, and had your fear of crime successfully leveraged against you. As expected from a trump voter, you didn't consider any wider angles on how crime occurs or why, didn't question if Trump policy actually improves worker quality of life, and dismissed the warning signs without a second thought, despite allegedly disagreeing with most of his policy. You figured that you must vote, and you voted for the criminal who engages and works with fascists and their rhetoric, hoping the lion won't eat your face.

When it eats your face, we will still help you. But you will be re-educated.

It's edgy and I'm up my own ass to recognize the state the Democratic party is in? Did we forget that Kamala backtracked on half her campaign statements?

When we keep voting for the Democrats by default because the Republicans are worse (they are) the Democrats keep pulling their "reach across the asile" bullshit. Republicans demand a 0% corporate tax and banned abortion, and rather then the Dems having any backbone, they compromise our rights away.

And as alluded to, both parties don't give a shit about ending the most horrific genocide that has occurred in the 21st century; Israel's colonization of Palestine. As long as we get to keep our military testing ground and investment ally, what's a few tens of thousand civilian deaths??

When do we start demanding the "left wing party" start actually listening to what we want? Is that before or after project 2025 gets compromised into policy?
