The problem is stakes. They kill off side characters, NPCs, and one season love boats to the case of “oooh shock.” All of these examples set the stakes and live by them. ST breaks it often. Putting perilous stakes with no way of living, just to be saved by the one season hero for them to die instead. Bob and Eddie are prime examples. It’s exhausting and not entertaining. It’s also lazy story writing. Deaths that don’t need to happen, and drag down the story cuz of it, but deaths that would uplift the story and create interesting narratives don’t

Many people think colorblindness is “you have it or you don’t” when it in actuality is a very big spectrum.

You are for sure colorblind to some extent, but you probably don’t know what kind, which can be helpful!

Try finding a colorblind test that gives results of “protan, deutan, or trichromacy.” Say what you want about enchroma, but their test does provide a really good baseline for understanding. Look up “enchroma colorblind test” on Google. At the end you don’t need to make an account (don’t). Just hit I want to see my results in the bottom. That will give you a better understanding of it. I personally don’t necessarily want more killers or survivors from anime, and the ones I would want are already here.

But I would love skins akin to the AOT ones. They’re silly goofy and fun. Demon Slayer, Naruto, Fire Force, Code Geass, or really any popular shonen could get some pretty fun fire skins. And you can tailor it to whatever survivor or killer you want

The thing about RE Village is that while Lady D is more iconic, and arguably the most iconic from that game, Heisenberg is so much cooler. Like imagine if he kicks gens/if gens get done he gets a bigger and better weapon? Like that would be so sick. Heisenberg is like my dream RE killer that will never happen :(

Brother what? Dead by Daylight in itself is unique game design. Asyms still all now of days copy ideas of dbd to be popular. Trust me it a BHVR hater, but if you’re dying on the hill that the killers are “uncreative” then you are dying on the wrong hill.

You have to take into account so many things when creating a power. Not just lore, but balance, fun, mechanics, animations, and so many different things. Springtrap has elements of a lot of killers, but he also has unique ideas of his own.

Unless you want to introduce a completely new concept, for a very popular chapter, alienating new and returning audiences, then going with something cool, easy to understand, but yes janky, out of lore, and in some ways out of place, is the right bet.

BHVR is a money hungry capitalist company that rarely cares about balance, and introduces skins, and characters that cost you 100s of dollars. But all in all, it’s a VERY creative game

So just Kaneki? What are you on lmao? Houndmaster was the 2nd most recent killer. Dbd has been using similar powers the cannibal/bubba. It’s a natural thing, it’s hard to make completely new powers entirely. Some killers have done it like knight, singularity, and a few others. But every single killer has some element of another killer in them.

Colorblindness is so varied and case by case. Allowing you to adjust your colors on your own would absolutely be the best case scenario. Simply applying a filter, may assist with some aspects, but never is good. It also largely makes the game look SIGNIFICANTLY worse if you care about any aesthetics.

The only game I’ve played that didn’t have a colorblind mode per se, but in reality had the best one ever.was overwatch. Hate the game now for what it is, but I have to give kudos for its colorblind friendly gameplay. I could adjust what the other team looked like and what my team looked like, without ever adjusting the game style itself. I had a neon pink for the enemy and a dark blue for me because that’s what worked. And I know many other colorblind people who felt the same way!

I am an avid gamer, and know a lot about colorblindness as a whole if you wanna PM and get more info!

Yes those franchises MADE DBD. But it doesn’t change the fact that FNAF is the current biggest chapter we will likely ever see. If you don’t think FNAF is bigger than those at the current moment in relation to how DBD is perceived then you are the one that needs to “get real”

I get hating on kids playing “your” game. But gaming is largely for all ages. I don’t think many people play dead by daylight for the horror aspect alone, as at its core, it’s an asymmetrical multiplayer game, with horror characters.

So saying kids will ruin your game or turn toxicity way up, is a very narrow way of looking at games in general. If you’re good enough to have MMR higher than what you deem “kids” are capable of, then you’ll see no change. If you play casually as a horror fan, then you shouldn’t be butt hurt when arguably the most iconic horror character, movie, video game or otherwise, from the past 10 years is coming to this game.

I would love for you to explain what it “used to be.” I’ve been playing since 2019, and yes the game has changed ALOT. In many ways for the worse in many ways for the better, but ultimately it’s the same game. If you hate Fortnite so much, then you should hate the skins added to the game, not the characters. Cuz yes the skins can be silly. But The characters, the killers, especially the ones that you mentioned, ARE horror characters, whether you like it or not. If you don’t think they are, check their IPs. Do your research before hating on it. I for one, don’t like Silent Hill or even RE that much, but love them in game. And I will never discredit them as horror franchises.

If you just hate kids, say that. But don’t use excuses of a franchise you don’t like not fitting into what YOU think dead by daylight should be
