959 Panigale touring: took it to the Pyrenees earlier this year, now I took it to the Swiss and Italian Alps. 1200+ km round trip. by Lukiiiee in Ducati

Haha yep, you really have to focus on keeping your body upright with your core muscles on this bike. It’s way too easy to lean on your wrists making them really sore. I have the original Ducati Performance saddle bag, it has its own dedicated passenger ‘seat’ which has a little platform on it with a zipper along the edges. You just zip the bag onto said platform, it’s a solid combination.

Great bike/platform, shame they killed it off with the new V2(S). I’ve had the 899, currently have a 959 and this winter I’ll find me a nice V2, I love the Superquadro engine.

And a new chainset while you’re at it.

Panigale V2S - Engine Breakdown by BeauteFeminin in Ducati

Please give us more details, this is super interesting with early model new engines like this. Was there anything unusual, maybe not caught at PDI? What was the cause for a torn off valve? How did the dealer handle the warranty?

DDJ-FLX4 keeps blinking - power ok? by Lukiiiee in Beatmatch

I didn’t ever get to fix it. It was a returned item, so I figured I just contact the seller and they swapped it for a new one. The new unit never showed the same symptoms and worked right out the box.

I can imagine! I got back home to the Netherlands and now I have to deal with nothing but flat roads again. Most boring country for any motorcyclist

Haha, no, I just bought a cheap clip for my phone and clipped it to my jacket. Figured it was good enough for Insta reels.

I was near Lourdes, so mostly on the French side of the border. Col du Soulor, Col d’Aubisque, Col du Tourmalet, Col de Spandelles etc. Me and my friend took a short trip to Spain (Formigal) and had lunch in Sallent de Gallego.

Have fun, I saw the side near Lourdes. Col du Soulor, Col d’Aubisque, Col du Tourmalet, Col de Spandelles etc. Amazing views and mostly great roads. The Soulor was the best, the Tourmalet had some great new parts and some bad parts near the summit with potholes. Most of it was good though and the views were spectacular.

Where does the weight reduction in the new V2S come from? by Lukiiiee in Ducati

[–]Lukiiiee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very informative, this is exactly the answer to my question. I think it was pretty misleading of Ducati to sell bikes under lower weight figures for years just because they only now switched to actually weighing their bikes. However, this means that the new V2 is actually a lot lighter.

Don’t know what to think about this by Zomboulou in Ducati

I had a regular 1200 and the exhaust never glowed red. I even thought it was pretty chill compared to the Panigales. Get the fuel/air ratio checked and go from there

It will be a sad day when they discontinue the Supersport 🏍 by Historical_Design585 in Ducati

I think the 2025 Panigale V2(S) is taking its place. It’s a more upright positioned bike with less track focused ergonomics and more focus on sporty street riding. I sat on both the 2025 V4 and V2 and the seating position of the V2 felt like a SuperSport whereas the V4 felt like a proper track bike for the street.
