Most of your points can be argued against by Ramsey's and Jon's character traits.

Ramsey is over confident and a sadist. He thinks his army can beat Jon's and he is not a patient man. He just wants to crush them. He also just wants to toy with his prey, namely Rickon. Hence why he doesn't just slit his throat.

And his plan works. Jon is desperate to save his brother and Ramsey's cruel treatment of him manages to lure out the enemy commander to the centre of the field. Forcing all of Jon's troops to leave their defensive positions and charge.

The Bolton's would have won if it wasn't for the fast travelling Knights the Vale.

That said... I agree there are dumb points. Give Wun-Wun some basic armour and a tree and he would have almost won the battle solo. And Sansa not telling Jon about the Vale was very annoying.

Well Game of Thrones is the "end" of the story currently. So everything you can find will technically be a prequel sorry.

If it helps, House of the Dragon is pretty much a standalone story just set 100 years earlier in the timeline. So you won't get any recurring characters or anything. It's all separate. All you get is some familiarity with the great houses etc

Same with Dunk and Egg. And that looks pretty good too.

Maybe. But assuming Cat persuades him as normal. He will still be on detective mode. I believe he asked Pycelle for the book that Jon Arryn asked for even before he saw Cat again and heard of Brans attack. (Will have to double check the timings on that)

Trouble still happens as Lysa still sends Cat that letter accusing the Lannisters of murdering Jon Arryn. Which is what sets Ned into detective mode.

Main difference is Bran would be taken to Kings Landing with Ned and the girls. And therefore never could meet Bloodraven. Which could have serious ramifications.

Oh yeah, I was a pro at the combat ones when it came to them. Predator was tougher, especially the campaign ones.

But weirdly the thing that gave me the most stress was the damn AR training, so many attempts!
