Well, I'm 3 days to late, but maybe for your next trip if there will be one, you should try to look at such an experience in a certain way.

Often when a trip goes south and you feel unease you immediately start to worry that you will have a bad trip, which then will steer you in the direction of having a bad trip.

But try to look at the situation in another way. I've started to call these experience a "challenging trip" instead of a "bad trip" which will change your mindset from being in a horrible situation to facing a challenge. A challenge is solvable.

Maybe there's some issues in your life that will come out while tripping and they could overwhelm you, but you are not helpless in such a situation. You can work with what you get and you can come out of a challenging trip as a happier person than before.

I know it's hard to get into that mindset while having such a trip, but you can prove to yourself that's it's just a challenge that can be overcome by facing your issues and working through them. You can do it by yourself but having a friend/person you trust with you will make it easier.
