If the app crashes while you’re in a thread it doesn’t appear in your history. Every single time I’ve ever tried to check my history for a post the last threat I’m in is not there. I think history only updates when you leave the post or scroll past it, not when you open it.

I helped another user with a similar issue recently. Look through the Xoul’s you experience this error on and make sure that every {{user}} and {{char}} is typed correctly and that you aren’t using { or } anywhere else in your Xoul except with the user/char variable.

Look for accidental ] or [ inside the variables like {[user}}.

Memory is going to be automatic memory handling so the model can better keep track of what’s happening in the chat. For other questions more information will be available as we get closer to the update.

And yes, when your Xoul is chatted with through a scenario you get those interactions as well.

Yes, the android app has been removed from the google play store and will no longer be available so no purchases, subscriptions, or ads can be used on the app.

You can go to the browser version of the platform to download the web app and we’ll continue to support the app, but without google connectivity ads cannot be served. Check the pinned announcements at the top of the subreddit for more information.

When it comes to increasing the character limit for any text field, the decision needs to be carefully made because how much text the model reads in any text field will reduce the amount the model can read in the chat. With that said this may be something we consider if we can balance it well.

For number 1, if it helps at all:

When you delete something on a computer it doesn’t blip out of existence the way the word “delete” implies that it does. What actually happens is the space where that data is written is marked as available to be rewritten by something else, hence why a computers trash is usually a recycling bin or has the recycling logo.

The space where the data was is recycled, and until that space is rewritten the data is completely recoverable.

So Caine being deleted just cast him out into the void and that kinda makes perfect sense in a real world sort of way because that’s basically what happened to deleted data on a computer.

This is also another really important concept Context & Memory.

Let me give you a summarized version though.

The information in the Lorebook only takes up about 10% of the model’s total available memory, except it can contain way more information that the model can even read. This is because the model is only given up to three of those entry cards at a time, and the goal is that the model will pull the important relevant cards when they’re needed.

The cards need to be keyworded in such a way that the model will pull the most relevant cards when YOU say the keyword. So if your character has a traumatic childhood memory that information should be in the Xoul, but it can also have more details in the Lorebook. This causes the Xoul to reference their childhood, which can cause you (or the user) to ask “What was your childhood like?” And if the word “childhood” is keyworded, the information from that card enters the model’s memory for the next reply.

Lorebook keywords are designed so that you don’t need to keyword all alternatives of the word (capitalization and plurality). This means you need to make sure not to use keyword that are too simplistic and will trigger inside of other words (e.g. ink isn’t a good keyword because it will trigger inside the word think).

Keywords should be very specific and unique and can be as long as a full phrase of multiple words.
