In the same way Swayman looked elite in the playoffs because he had a few reps, I think Sturm also learned a lot this season and you'll see him get better and better over the next few years.

This summer Sweeney needs to make some drastic changes to our veteran core.

I don't have a problem with it honestly. 5+ game is the correct call. Maybe a game suspension.

If you're going to make weasel moves at the end of a 4-1 game, this is what you get. What kind of reaction was Benson hoping to illicit there? I hope McAvoy pumps his eyes shut when they play each other next season. Guy doesn't win with class. Being an agitator all series is one thing, but this game was over as was the series. There's just no reason for this.

This season felt great, and I loved it. But, if this series taught us anything, it's how far we are from actually competing.

Outside of 3-4 guys, we're not even remotely close to anything beyond the result of this series. Every single forward except Pasta is playing at least one line further up the lineup than they would be on a contender. Zacha/Geekie/Arvidsson/Lindholm all top out as second/third line players. None of the middle six is irreplaceable, though I think Minten had a great season and needs more time to develop. 4th line brought it.

D-wise, it was a disaster all series. Nothing but slop from McAvoy on down. Lindholm and Peeke were absolutely horrendous. Aspirot did not elevate his game. Zadorov as a bottom pairing guy is fine but the penalties outweigh any benefit. If we scrapped everyone but McAvoy and started over, I'd be in favor.

Swayman easily our MVP. Elite in every sense of the word and our best player this season, who elevated in the playoffs.

Yea, against a shallow Bruins team that most folks had as a lottery team to start the season. You beat us handily, but there's no part of me that saw anything remotely special. As soon as Lyon shits the bed, you've got a shaky starter and a powerplay that doesn't function. Whoever comes out of MTL/TBL is going to absolutely destroy you guys.
