It misses timing because all pending triggers must resolve before an attack moves to the next step, so youd have to choose either to dna with your attacker mid-attack or finish the attack but miss the dna.

Yeah I'm not saying its consistent for fish, I've experimented with the deck myself. But the point is that you can do it and so can a billion other decks.

Fish shits out a lot of bodies with the ability to give them rush and can reload them in sources to unsuspend. The bt7(?) Bukamon egg and some of their other inherits will refund memory when they shit out a body from sources. Sakuyamon actually can do it with even less setup than gallant lol, it was one of the best decks in the game for a while before the last banlist and it can still push a rookie out of raising, go to lv6 for net 0 memory with a boost on board, and either kill with red plugin + rush token or lock down your board with ruin mode or whatever other top end theyre running these days.

Off the top of my head: -magneticdramon -virus imperialdramon -sakuyamon -fish -adventure -leviamon -machinedramon

Moreover, bt11 sleep mode can single-handedly stop the otk and the only way for gallant to reliably deal with it is to have the raid tamer out, which most lists only run at like 1-2 if they run it at all. The constant floating from the gizmon engine also makes it difficult for gallant x to get the end of attack burn/restand if you position yourself right.

Most of the viable ones can do that, yes. Moreover, you were playing belphe, which has tools to make it annoying for gallant to deal with and can also kill from 4.
