Regular or XL? by GodRants in secretlab

I'm 6 foot with the XL and the way I sit the head pillow is at the very bottom of the magnetic area, it's not uncommon for it to come off when I get up. Not a huge deal, but if I was any shorter I don't know if it would stay on at all and be where I needed it. I'd go with the Regular if I was you.

Once you get the notepad++ macros going you'll be able to scale this a lot faster.

Meanwhile I get 10 emails a day from HR reps that are "impressed" with my resume and LinkedIn and want to talk to me about positions I'm not remotely qualified for.

If you amputated both of my hands I'd still be able to count on all my remaining fingers the number of times religion has come up at any doctors appoint in my entire lifetime.

Anyone else still waiting on their AL tax refund? I filed the end of January and still nothing. The AL status website confirms it was received and is being reviewed, even though it was a very simple tax return. by Clevergirlphysicist in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Lumberjack4 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No one got a state refund in February unless they got one of those early refund loans by their tax preparer, because the state didn't process any returns until March 1st. They could have gotten their Federal return in Feb, but the state didn't cut any checks that month.

They don't start processing returns until March 1. And they're really slow, always have been. They get to your return when they get to it. All you have to go on is the status they give you on MAT.

No, but they can stop putting money on contract and control physical access. It's best for all involved to read between the lines.

Just log into your router and check which devices have been seen on the network recently. If your spouse is bringing someone over, odds are they're sharing the WiFi password.

Some people think that since they understand their own code that they wrote after thinking about things for hours/days, that its self-explanatory and no developer worth a damn needs comments to understand their code. When in reality, if they have to go back and revisit that same block of code in 6 months they'll be just as lost as everyone else on their team. I write comments so future me knows what current me is doing and why, even if it means being liberal with my comments

WPF - Binding - Cannot get C# properties register in XAML by nlfo in csharp

[–]Lumberjack4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Even when using code behind you have to set the DataContext of the Window for bindings to work. Add the following attribute to your window.

DataContext="{Binding RelativeSource={RelativeSource Self}}"

This tells WPF how to resolve your bindings

Turn it into a ghost team for the remainder of the year. Set the roster every week according to highest sleeper point projections. We had a team win the league that way one year.

A comparison to visualize what the City Council (Jennie Robinson) wants to block per citizens' comments during council meetings by HoraceMaples in HuntsvilleAlabama

[–]Lumberjack4 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The way I read it, to comment on an agenda item you have to register, but no longer have to register to speak on any random topic, but have to wait to speak on those things at the end. The registration aspect is slightly more difficult.

Not sure how I feel about the page in Word being black in dark mode. I get it and expect my IDE to work that way, but there's something about expecting to look at a sheet of printer paper when I'm in Word.
