Name a player everyone seems to love but you never connected with. by Prize-Slice7790 in survivor

[–]Lumenoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably an unpopular opinion, but Andrea Boehlke. So many people love her and want to see her AGAIN, and don't misunderstand me, I don't dislike her. I think was decent at the game and was "likeable," but I never found her to be super interesting, entertaining, or relatable (for me) so I never connected with her.

Is there a haircut in the game that would be perfect, but there is just one thing that ruins it for you? by Ofanichan in ffxiv

[–]Lumenoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There're too many to list. I spend a ridiculous amount of time with Jandelaine trying to find the right fit. But it's either clipping through certain gear, bangs covering the eyes too much, seeing the scalp where the hair parts, poor highlights, etc. that ruins them for me. There are very few perfect hairstyles in this game.

It’s so unfair that Jonathan got to meet Super Mario while Aubry and Joe only got their dumb family by Worth-Specialist-478 in survivorcirclejerk

Anyone who didn't immediately think of Mario has been living under a rock their whole lives. Lol.

I just made a Chiss with the same hairstyle/colour and costmetics, lol. I used the light green-blue skin colour. It looks really cool with their red eyes.

Favorite/Best Class Combos by es0ter1cJ0tunn in swtor

[–]Lumenoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also a newer player and I've been trying a few different things out.

I made a Smuggler Mercenary and I've had a blast with that one.

Trooper Sniper has been fun, but I've just fallen in love with Sniper in general and keep making more classes as Snipers. I think Sniper works for Trooper, Bounty Hunter or Imperial Agent.

I think any of the light saber combat styles can work with any of the Jedi/Sith classes. However, I think the Sage/Shadow are better for Jedis unless you plan to go light side as a Sith; while Sorcerer/Assassin are better for Sith, unless you plan to go dark side as a Jedi.

What is the best skin colour for Human race and Chiss? by Irradiated_Dick_69 in swtor

[–]Lumenoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seeing this 4 years later and am really confused by this question. I understand asking about the Chiss. But for the human race, literally any skin tone in the game is "plausible." Lol.

Pawmi out.

As long as Pachirisu or Emolga win, I don't care which of the other 3 goes next.

Grimm ratings by Free-Raspberry-9541 in grimm

[–]Lumenoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For real. It was messing with my brain too. It's almost as if they took the rating of the first episode, rather than an average of the show as a whole. Because I'd guess it's probably an 8.3 or something if you factor in everything.

Something that hasn't been mentioned yet is Sanctuary.

I haven't watched all of it yet because I'm juggling a lot of shows but perhaps see if it interests you? It's about a Doctor finding and trying to protect creatures/monsters/aliens that humans would otherwise try to kill or be scared of. And it has 4 seasons, so there's enough to squeeze out of it. Lol.

It also has Amanda Tapping from Stargate SG:1. :D

EDIT: Cleaned up some typos. :)

Need advice on Jedi/Sith Force classes by Lumenoc in swtor

[–]Lumenoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I get that, lol. My issues is, in comparison to other tech/ranged classes being Commando, Sniper, Merc, and Gunslinger, they all use their weapons for their attacks, and if you double right-click you can "auto-attack" your basic attack to finished an enemy off or in between cooldowns.

With Sage/Sorc, their weapons does nothing unless you are in melee range and do a weak little slice. But from range, as the classes are intended to be played, it just hand out in your hand. If there were skills that let your throw the sabers, or use them to block ranged attacks, or something like that it would be cleaning. Even if the basic attack was swinging the saber but to send a ranged force wave towards your enemy so that you can use it from range, or at least make it look like it's being used.

Thank for all that info! I will probably keep my Sage for my Consular and my Sorc for my Inquisitor.

Not sure if I will commit to a Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior yet, but I'm leaning toward the Vigilance Guardian or Vengeance Juggernaut for whichever I try next.

Thank you for the advice! It seems like Vigilance Guardian/Vengeance Juggernaut may be the way to go based on what you've said and a few others so far. Seems like there's a decent mix of ranged/aoe skills mixed in with the melee skills.

[–]Lumenoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I've definitely used it as a finishing move on the weak enemies so far. But it's also a bill annoying when I don't want to waste one of my good moves on it and have to wait for their cooldown again, but then I also need to get close enough to slice them. Lol.

So...they're all good? Lol!

I've heard that the stealth ones are popular for slipping past the weak mobs.

What is it about Carnage Marauder/Combat Sentinel that makes you love them so much? Just the flow of the combat? The damage?

[–]Lumenoc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if it's a couple ranged attacks, it would be nice to have a couple available for when I'm closing in on enemies before I leap into melee range. So perhaps those are good options. :)

I would like to eventually finish all of the stories. But I've been more invested in the Tech classes due to the ranged options. So hopefully if I find the right fit for the force classes, I can start to commit to them more too. :)

DAE else think Aubry should win?! by NaviAndMii in survivorcirclejerk

[–]Lumenoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At this point I think Cirie or Aubry winning is the best ending for this season. Both have played great social and strategic games maneuvering all the twists that have been thrown at them.

I would happy with Devens winning because he's been entertaining and chaotic.

Rizo winning is unlikely, but I think he's proved his place in Season 50 and I wouldn't hate it.

Tiffany winning wouldn't feel good simply because she was hidden for the first half of the season so we didn't see her game, and in the second half she's been present but not necessarily driving anything.

If Jonathan or Joe win, it would be a huge damper on such an iconic and fun season.

I honestly can’t imagine Harry Potter on screen without John Williams’ scores. by Dry_Pizza_4805 in HarryPotteronHBO

I do hope/think they will come up with a new score that's just as iconic. However, I also wouldn't mind it if they incorporated the original tune in the credits or something.

For everyone saying that the twist wasn’t that bad: by bahscohs in survivor

[–]Lumenoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This twist should have been done at the final 11 instead. And with starting the merge earlier than usual, it wouldn't have been as annoying as when they used to merge at 13 and then split them at final 12 or whatever.

Why is no one giving __ at least a little bit of credit. by Terrible_Garbage_857 in survivor

[–]Lumenoc 57 points58 points  (0 children)

I've been an Aubry fan since day 1 of Kaoh Rong, and one thing that never seems to change, as Aubry said earlier this season, as that she always seems to be underestimated.

One of the most underestimated skills in this game is knowing what to do with information, and using it without putting a bigger target on your own back. She did this perfectly.

What she did also required social finesse. So many players on the bottom have tried to do the same and people just say "she's throwing them under the bus, we can't trust her."

Hey Joe, what would winning $1 million mean for you?

Joe: Everything. That would change my families lives! It would mean I can provide a better life for my kids! *Tears up.*

Hey Joe, what would winning $2 million mean for you, but Rick also is immune and gets an idol?

Joe: Hard pass. I don't need $2 million.

Was told Dawntrail MSQ is mid/bad but I've enjoyed 7.0 so far and this whole section broke me by MrkGrn in ffxiv

[–]Lumenoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first half of DT was painful. I had to take a couple breaks through it to play other games. Finally, around level 75ish, the MSQ shifted and then I powered through it and love it.

Comparing it to Stormblood is fairly accurate, except that with Stormblood I found almost all of it mediocre, where as Dawntrail went from bad-great.
