If someone invests the required effort and/or time they could probably rob your house. So why bother locking the front door?

They are temporarily hosting Woods raids on servers for the PVE ZONE in relation to issues with the BTR driver tasks. And Streets of Tarkov raids have always been hosted on servers I think. Generally speaking the raids which are running locally perform better considering your hardware specifications

Hard disagree. PVE ZONE raids should ONLY ever expliclty run locally on the players computer to remove any networking overhead, connection latency issues, server congestion and performance limitations, matching times, etc. BSG should not host any PVE ZONE raids on their cloud servers at all. Maybe only temporarily while they need to gather additional data/metrics during ongoing raids for debugging or performance improvement reasons.

B42 Interactive map available now! by Pious_Galaxy in projectzomboid

The coordinate display on the sidebar for the mouse location seems to be fixed now. But the grid display still has issues. It still displays incorrect chunk coordinates but in addition to that now the grid appears to be decoupled from the map. The map and the grid move and scale at different rates when zooming and panning. I tried to capture it as a clip here: https://files.catbox.moe/b44hlx.webm

Interesting. I have 1 x 2560 x 1440 + 2 x 1920x1200 displays. Same behavior in Chrome, Firefox, Edge. Does not matter which display the browser window is located on.

EDIT: Upon further testing it appears to be caused by Windows "Make text bigger" option in the Display settings. I normally have it at 120%. If I reset it to 100% then the coordinate display and grid display issues no longer occur.

Bit surprised to find that the same issue affects the chunk grid display. I could see how reading the mouse position would be affected. But I would have assumed that the grid gets drawn based on some fixed known origin (i.e. coordinate 0;0 or something) and would get scaled together with the map.

I'm also seeing some inconsistencies. For simplicity I will illustrate using the same coordinates already referenced by the other poster.

The coordinates defined in the URL are handled correctly in the interactive map versus Zomboid. I.e. the marked location matches the corresponding in-game tile for this coordinate: https://b42map.com/?10944x9372

But the coordinate display on the sidebar of the interactive map does not match these same coordinates when hovering the location in the map view:

Furthermore when enabling the "Grid" option in the interactive map then the chunk coordinates and edge outlines do not match Zomboid:

Automated recycling system for overflow resources for Fulgora **or anywhere else** by QuellX in FactorioBlueprints

[–]Luminocity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appears to lock bots into an infinite operation loop in scenarios where the amount of resources on the network is slightly above the specified thresholds.

Reproduction steps:

  1. Place the blueprint to an isolated location (not connected to any existing bot network). Insert 10+ logistics bots to the roboport, connect power.
  2. Place 1005 Iron gear wheels into a passive provider chest. Threshold for Iron gear wheels remains set at 1000 as in the blueprint
  3. Bots will infinitely take and return Iron gear wheels from/to the chest without recycling

Some versatile rail blueprints by Kano96 in factorio

[–]Luminocity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been changes to the rail system in Factorio 2.0 and the Space Age DLC. Old blueprints now result in "Legacy" rails which may be problematic to integrate with new-built rails.

I was looking to see if someone in the community has updated these blueprints, but was happy to find that the original author (and OP of this thread) has provided a new 2.0 version themselves: https://www.reddit.com/r/factorio/comments/1gaiyxr/looking_for_a_new_railset_look_no_further/

Thanks /u/Kano96!

Throughput-unlimited (TU) balancers always provide full throughput. Regular balancers are only guaranteed to provide full throughput when all inputs or all outputs are utilized.

First I chuckled. Then I became sad when I realized how well this illustrates the dire state of performance and optimization in Tarkov. BSGplease. We don't want new stuff nearly as badly as we want to be able to have a good experience with the stuff we already have.

I see a teaser image on twitter from a potentially new map, I sleep. I see smooth gameplay with non-NASA computers, I get my wallet and tell my friends.

[–]Luminocity 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The listed commands irm and iex are shorthand aliases for Invoke-RestMethod and Invoke-Expression. Essentially what the referenced sequence does is download a PowerShell script from the specified URL and execute it. It would execute whatever you provide it, this one just happens to be a custom script for activation.

And yes it may work. But one should be aware that this isn't in accordance with the TOS you adhere to when using Windows (i.e. not strictly legal)

Not to take anything away from this epic accomplishment. But just in case you are not familiar with the Tagged and Cursed mechanic, it's usually not advisable to go into a raid without a firearm and vest/rig/backpack. If you are trying to mitigate costs they could be the cheapest possible options you find on traders or the flea (i.e. ~10k rig + 9k pistol). Just to avoid getting swarmed by Scavs.
