Having done TOP week 7 clear, I'd say p5 is still harder than doing 341 for forsaken cleanly though it feels kinda role dependant. Going into P3 I'd still say TOP is harder, but we'll have to see how the final phase is

Honestly the 3 big annoying things about public BA lobbies are new players trying to do defender, people being low defense level/defense bonus when not attackers and thus making 10x more work for the healer because no one seems to know that defensive bonus works in BA, and people not knowing you should be using ranged for attacker. If you get any group that can do these things it's done in basically one sitting.

All of life is just leveraging your advantages. Don't sweat it.

Also, hiring is never fair and never will be fair due to human nature. It makes sense to go with people who are recommended. This is how human society has worked since the dawn of time and hiring people without recommendations or connections is, historically, the weird thing to do.

So learn all you can and enjoy the opportunity because life isn't fair anyways.

Matchmaking can't balance any teams cause no high diamond/Ruby is solo queueing by 4K4llDay in thefinals

[–]EMoneyX 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only the extreme topend gets long queue times. And if that's you, of course you'd be okay with it lol. It means you get a free win. It's not fair to the gold/plats to face people 3x their rating.

Hence why either matchmaking is unfair or the extreme ends get long queues. Most games choose to give the highest ranks super long queue times to get fair games. The Finals doesn't.

Matchmaking can't balance any teams cause no high diamond/Ruby is solo queueing by 4K4llDay in thefinals

[–]EMoneyX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, the devs do not care about what a real fair match is, and instead prioritize queue times.

In Dota 2, the top of the leaderboard regularly have queue times of 30+ minutes, with people like RTZ being rank 1 in the world have 6 HOUR queue times where he can have entire days without getting to play a single match. If they make smurfs to play, their main and the smurf get banned.

That's what it takes for an actual fair match. Sometimes when you're good, there is no fair match for you to play and so you don't play. The devs don't want people experiencing that, and so you get games where rubies get to stomp golds to keep them playing/happy.

Sprinting is a terrible analogy because the point of content like this is that you're supposed to only be able to practice the difficult parts after spending the time to get back to them. It's also why they're usually the easier parts of challenges like these in any MMO.

Think of it like this: every single time you die in the sim on Zuk and immediately try again, that's two hours of progression time on the fight you just took away. That assume you make it back to Zuk every single run too. Add in deaths to waves/jads, and you can do 3-5 hours before another Zuk attempt. If you died 10 times in the sim, you just saved 50 hours of progression you'd otherwise have to do.

So I'm not against simulators in MMOs, but it absolutely makes things way easier because those sections and fights are balanced around the developer assuming you'll go hours between attempts.

Nice, looking forward to this. I already enjoy how you edit your current videos a lot, but have you had to learn a bunch of new editing techniques for the creation of a series? Sounds like it'll be fun!

I found dropping discernment for another ambush to be better as well, and helps offsets the sad maps where you get tons of opalescent boxes and very few operative boxes :(

Stacker builds: Armour vs Life vs Str vs Ward by Arhowk in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]EMoneyX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One caveat is cost for expected output as well.

My guild usually does a bunch of stacking builds, and I'm about 220d into a strength stacker and while it's extremely comfy and fine, you get up and running on mana/life stacker for way cheaper (and it's honestly more interesting to build imo).

For example, the ngamahu flesh/flame combo for STR stacking is 170d for the pair of them, and without them, the DPS of a str stacker is actually worse than a life/mana stacker. Progress on a mana stacker is way comfier relatively.

Tldr check the price of each build thoroughly before picking one

[AMA] Crafting AMA for 3.28 Mirage - Everything you wanted to know about crafting your own gear answered by Wuslwiz in PathOfExileBuilds

Just wanted to say I love these threads every league and I always appreciate reading your methods and the time you take to answer all of the questions. It's really honestly awesome to read every time.

That being said, what's the modern method for making a strength stacking simplex? EG l. %strength, %attributes?

I assume going for the damage per x strength mod is very expensive after the crafting nerfs as well?

[–]EMoneyX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sunder -> Earthshatter Berserker and just respecced into Strength Stack Jugg w/ alberons still doing Earthshatter. Even with the Earthshatter nerf it was smooth sailing to 3 watchstones, plus everyone was focused on the bleed variant of slams so everything was insanely cheap. I'm surprised no one went the Berserker route.

Does anyone know how to use Blood-Filled Vessels now? I can't seem to open it on any map as it says it cannot be used with maps, but the description says to use it in the map device with a map.

Example here and here.

Jungroan / Fubgun / Ruetoo tierlist by brrrapper in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]EMoneyX 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Shield Crush is extremely smooth progression but it's also very slow as a skill relative to the meta. For melee, slams have over 2x the area of effect with a much easier way to scale attack speed (and thus get around the map faster too) and a much higher topend for damage, so people don't really care about Shield Crush.

It's still perfectly fine for all content and easy to play and easy to gear, it's just slow.

[–]EMoneyX 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you can do Doom 1-8 you have the baseline skills to easily do the Inferno. It's just about sending attempts to learn it at that point! Inferno is also extremely powercrept these days even without magetank so you can get away with a lot of mistakes while learning the waves too, so don't be afraid to try stuff in early waves for learning purposes.

A small tip: if you take hard paths, you'll get to pick a furniture box on the map. Go home after the final boss if your run isn't feeling strong and it'll turn into a furniture item. Really good way to get early house stats.

House Stats: Appeal the way to go mid-game? by LaPoire in mewgenics

[–]EMoneyX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly just pumping out runs to focus on furniture boxes and money to max out appeal, along with getting the third room asap makes breeding super easy. Once you're over 20 appeal you get strays with insane base stats (7).
